That Ichiro play is one of my personal favorite Yankees highlights post 2001. Just so smart and athletic. Sorry we couldn't get him his first World Series ring though.

For people who say oh he went out the baseline the baseline changes when there is a defensive player in the baseline cuz then people would just make a huge wall in front of second or any base and you would be out because they would tag you or you would have to go around so as long you are able to make a play of dodge a defensive player in the baseline you still have a little bit of movement each way on the baseline

This is also like the hidden ball trick, meaning it's not easily taught. The players either have it in them or they don't. Fun part of baseball to watch!

It’s so hard to avoid the tag in high school/any other game that does not have cameras because they’re not able to replay it and these plays are so hard to see and most likely will call you out every time

That's how tagging works haha. A small bit of his shirt is tagging him out. Just like when a pitched ball grazes the jersey of a batter and it's still ruled a hit-by-pitch.

4:50 Holt clearly tags him. Uniform on the back of the left arm is clearly being pulled by the glove at the moment of the tag. I understand an umpire missing that in the moment, it is a skin of your teeth tag, but still a missed call by the broadcasters when seeing the same video we're seeing.

Yeah honestly checking the Napoli/Donaldson exchange, Napoli makes the tag on the back of the shirt. Barely brushes but that was a tag. Should've looked at that one again.
