The length of a European Gun is measuring BAND STRETCH length / from where the bands start to the back notch/sharkfin (the hardest one to load). That’s effective length

I just bought an OceanAmmo "Viperine 100", its a mid handle, double band, it doesn't have the perfect finish like say a Koah, but the component's and teak are of excellent quality. I hunt mangrove roots to rocks, just getting into the deeper stuff, i think its the perfect all around speargun.

5/16” : 7.94mm and 11/32” : 8.75mm and 3/8”: 9.5mm kicks like a mule unless you have an 18lb gun. Bridles (in Australia or RSA) in English in America we call them wishbones

But admit it, we are all just keep spending money and try to get that one gun that will do it all. Ending up that one gun that rules you instead. Bigger and bigger guns, bigger and bigger fishes, Less and less numbers, more and more selective.

I bought a euro travel speargun that costs $950. I do a lot of spearfishing and I travel with it a few times a year on a plane outside of Florida. So the fact it breaks down is very good for that. I made a speargun in woodworking class 12 years ago in high school. It is good for the casual spear-fisher. I however do it a lot. I try to stay away from processed foods so I’m in the water almost every day skewing my dinner. Also I’ve done it all over the world. If you find yourself really into it then shell out the money for a good speargun that will serve you well.

7mm is 9/32” (7.10) and you said 7.5mm which is the same as 19/64”. Just to help your video viewers. 8mm on most Euro “Pipe” guns is too heavy, overkill and kicks like a mule.

Not sure how I should say it, but knowledge comes from trying and testing and learning how to make any gun suits you, it is all about setup, the idea of keep using one gun because you shoot accurate with it, is wrong idea! instead, people should be taught how to setup a gun to deliver them what they need! not just keep trying million guns until they found the gun that suits them!

Without offense, Really outdated guns in this video. Big, heavy, not opitimized with too many bands . The only speargun that deserves interest is the Abellan 110
