Hi Scotty, I have a 2007 RAV4 with that engine that burns oil. Also the rear axle is rusted, the exhaust pipe leaks, and there's oil stains in the front of the engine which I think is a valve cover gasket issue. I was told I should sell this car before it becomes a bigger problem. Do you agree? It has 126,000 miles. Thank you for teaching us so much!!

The issue is usa forcing toyota to use different piston rings for the 2azfe after '06 not before.
I got a 2002 Camry, automatic with the original 2az engine with over 300k made in kentucky, I changed the oil every 3k miles and it only burns a quart every oil change. I also have a 2003 Camry, manual with the original engine with just over 200k miles made in Japan, it burns 1 quart per thousand mile. The previous 2 owners were awful at changing the oil. I learned through experience, regular maintenance can also slow down the use of oil consumption in these Toyotas because regardless of their oil consumption, they are well built cars.

Scotty I already bought a 2011 oil burning Camry. Do you suggest any fixes?

Change the engine
All of these engines have this blowby problem. Every single one I've seen sends the oil cap flying when you check it for air coming out. But to be honest they won't die, they'll just burn oil, and there's fixes for that. My friend was absolutely whipping his and it has 260k.
A 05 & 03 camry with a 4cylinder good car or same as the 06 oil burner
Man i love your videos ♥️
The 2.7 in Venza owners manual states that 1 quart can burn every 600 miles and that’s normal.
Thanks Scotty 👍
