Great thanks Dr.
Watching from Accra, Ghana. Thanks Dr. Daniel. I watched four of your videos this evening. It's been so refreshing as well as learning new things about poultry farm. I started with the deep litter for about six years on a farm a few kilometers away from my home. It was quite difficult to manage and monitor. This resulted in stealing of both eggs and birds. I moved the farm to my house, use battery cages and we are now enjoying poultry farming. Thanks for all the information. Will subscribe.

Nice tutorial bro. God bless you
Thanks very much, Dr. Daniel, for sharing this. This is very important especially for us upcoming poultry farmers. I have not yet built my first chicken house on the farm. I am still researching on the construction of such. This information has really come in handy. Kindly consider doing a video on the actual dimensions of a good chicken house for layers. I know you don’t favour caged layers but you can mention how one for cages can also best be made. With love from Katete, Zambia

Thank you Doctor god bless you 🇧🇮🇧🇮
Thnx bro for good advice
Well noted point thank you doc
DOC, that was great advice, chickens need good air flow regardless of the type of breed, just keep them dry and out of strong cold winds and plenty of space and they will do well, the only time my chickens get heat is when the winter when the temps. drop below 0 deg.F. but that is just one way i also give a little more food and put in a water heater so the can get fresh water.

Hello Doc. I like your videos so much. You are a true inspiration. I will like to start a poultry farm and would like u to be my mentor. From Cameroon.
I love your videos. U have inspired me to go into poultry. But sir how do u prevent rain from flying in through the wire merge openings?
I really love your videos
Wow Thanks for this
Excellent advice! I am about to start building a couple new bird houses myself, I have a new batch of baby Silkie chicks and more ready to hatch soon and I just ordered a new big incubator & few Emu eggs & Turkey eggs to hatch. What can I say? You inspired me to expand my farm lol.. If this keeps up I'll have to start my channel on the birds instead of on my Company lol.. and I love what you said about the "step" label btw, family is family and my daughters have different fathers but were raised as sisters, no half or step anything's in my family. We just don't use those words.

I love your chicken house. You have great advice, thank you for your videos. I am not sure but it looked like the panting birds had clipped beaks. Does that contribute to breathing issues also?
@mykelbarigees3942
3 жыл бұрын
The clipped beaks helps to reduce feather picking, egg breaking and also cannibalism amongst the chicken.
I'm learning big here, courage bro...
Thank you man
I live in the northwest usa. We have wind, rain, storms. Still, you are right! We just have to add a way to close it up during the storms. Very good video, thank you!

Hello Doctor, i'm a student in Denmark. I've have for a long been dreaming of having my own farm. The first goal was to make a sheep farm, but that looked so hard. I'm so gladly that i found your videos, the plan will now be to make a chicken farm in the near future (1-2 year).
Nice
Hi Doc i'm form SA and I would love to know, what are the best books to read when you want to educate yourself about poultry farm?
Just built my second chicken poultry... 🙏🏼
That's the reason they say education is the most important thing before you start a poultry farm project.

Hello Dr. Daniel. Thank you so much Doc for the free farming skills you're sharing with the world to make the world a better place to live in. You have done your part. Guess the rest is up to us to follow suit. My worry about such open chicken house, how do you handle the burglary risks of theft? It's a common occurrence in African countries. How do you ensure the safety of your birds with all that open mesh? May be welding in some burglar proof iron bars too?
@PoultryfarmGuide

You can build your pen far away from easy access. We place ours 80 t0 90 frets from the farm fate. It can be more than that. I know we manage land, and must people build against the wall or fences, in such case we hope nothing bad happens. But is u have enough space you can build at the middle or far from easy reach.
Hello Dr. Daniel. I am relatively new here. I want to thank you for your very helpful videos. I have found them very educative. Now let's say you have already made the mistake of say building the chicken house against a wall. What can you do to salvage the situation?
Hello Daniel. Could you comment on the importance of perches? Also, what of the ground; will a concrete or wooden floor do, or is the "soily" material necessary? And what amount of space do a certain number of birds need?
@PoultryfarmGuide
2 жыл бұрын
Perches and soily materials like good litters are good to exhibit their natural behaviors like dust bathing, chase and run, feather clapping, etc. But for commercial purpose concrete ground is preferable with Quality litters like wood shavings, or rice husk. And it's easy to clean too Space Layer: deep litter about 1.50ft^2 cage:0.50ft^
Hello brother men 🇳🇦 Just wanted to ask something about the floor of chicken house, do one need to put cement to make a floor or perhaps something
Me too..a heart doctor 😇
Dr D., please 👍👍
Thank you for ur advise please. Found it very helpful. Could u please mention the measurements of that chicken house u a sitted in and how many birds it can accommodate. Also can you brood day one old chicks in it or not please.
@PoultryfarmGuide
2 жыл бұрын
Layers: deep litters 1.50 square feet per bird. Cage 0.50 square feet per bird
You talk like someone who has spent some time in My country NIGERIA 🇳🇬❤️
Dr. Daniel the problem why pipo keep walls high are thieves so how. Best can I make that mesh structure hard for thieves to break in
Hi Dr. Daniel... my name is Walter, i love your teachings coz am i very interested follower.... you inspire me big. However, can i roof my chicken house using grass for those of us who come from areas where we use grass for roofing?
Bg up Dr Daniel
Thanks for your great knowledge,l would like ask a question how does is it take to reach 50% of laying. when they have started laying @19weeks age thanx?
@PoultryfarmGuide

Thanks for this great video but please i haven't watched any vidoe on how to do debecking the birds pls help me out
I want to do the business too so am here to learn this house is fine for heat time but what about the raining season it look like rain will enter
Doc, what if you live in a cold place? I live in a small village that's very cold. the birds I have are doing ok but the openning isn't too open as u explained.
I like the business
Hello Dr. Are there some climatic conditions that don't favor chicken thriving....?
Can you please recommend a book i can read on poultry farming.
