@@BostonBike from W. Roxbury the 2 nearest connections are Belgrade Ave at Beech St: intersection via the W Roxbury Pkwy, or Adams Village in Roslindale up Washington to Enneking Pkwy. I find the W. Roxbury Pkwy reasonably safe to ride my bike. I loop back at River St Bridge over Mother Brook in Hyde Park, but looks like you could connect to Truman Pkwy via Readville St and Hyde Park Ave.
