Nice video! We moved to Houston from LA,California. We absolutely Love Houston. I think Houston as a great place for families to raise their kids.
Some of the downsides include unstable weather, hurricanes, tornados, and humidity.
The only snake to fear are copper heads & they prefer to hang around old logs that have large pieces of bark flaking off. Quite damaging to cats but dogs are always fine if bitten.
Just don't bring up politics and you will be find, me personally im a independent but im a bit more right leaning

Hey, just letting you know, you are right in that you will get all kinds of political ideas in the cities in Texas. I hate lables, but people lable me as very progressive and in the city here in Houston, there are many people who are wry woke. Remember, Jesus was the original woke activist. So, people who understand what woke is are very welcome in Houston.
A few things that always gets looked over is the amount of poverty in and around Houston, it can be mind boggling when you see it, it is everywhere you look. The amount of industrial infrastructure and the way everything is just built all around the place in no order or fashion will stand out at you in a big way. If you get here in the cold months, you are going to think about the cold up north, and instantly start thinking to yourself, I have to move south

Politics: I’m from CA and one of the main reasons I am moving to TX is because they’re conservative. I’ve always been a Republican and never was an issue in CA until now. I am hoping that no “liberals” move to TX or they’re going to ruin the state. 🇺🇸💪

There are the typical bugs, including mosquitoes and roaches, in Northern CA, and a number of spiders, including the black widow, wolf, brown recluse, and daddy long legs, depending on where you live. We use a pest control service that keeps everything away, but they can be found in dark places like our garage in the spring/summer along with the daddy long legs. Snakes are here, but I've not seen one in my 27 years living here. We would expect bugs in Texas, of course, including mosquitoes due to rain throughout the summer!!
How about the allergies?
