Ok so I get the music video now after watching it a few times. It starts off as the end to a normal day. But his wife passed away the night before. Everything is still in ruin the day after when it finally hits him that she is gone. He wants to be with her so bad that he overdoses on his prescription medication as he cant bear the thought of her actually being gone. Notice how he was crying and then it immediately switches to him not crying covered in tears anymore. This is the scene where he passes away and is reawoken In purgatory. He goes out to his garage on his scooter which is covered in dust. But he would have had to used it at some point to go get groceries, his medication, etc to live in the real world. But he is dead. So it is covered in dust as if he hasn't used it in years. He then goes on an adventure to search for his wife. And on the way he starts to become happy again. Realising that he will meet reunite with her someday. When he hits the branch and the bikers come to help him they are actually the angels guiding him into heaven. Leading him on the path he has to go. They make a stop and then he moves on by himself. As if he knows the way to go now. He travels and then hits the city. He is there. In heaven. This is why he is swarmed with people out of nowhere. They are the souls of the dead welcoming him into the afterlife where they finally lead him to his wife he loved so much and this is why everyone is so happy for him. Man. This music video is great. It really was well thought out and the song is fantastic too. Great job avicii. This really struck a chord with me.
