The awesome thing is Dan is a legendary bluegrass singer, he was George Clooneys singing voice in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (Dan's wife loved it, telling him: "George Clooneys face with your voice coming out? That's my fantasy!") By Avicii and Dan collaborating they each turned a bit of their audience on to the other :)

Dan Tyminski is an amazing Bluegrass/Americana singer and player. Sings w/ Allison Krauss & Union Station. Far from an amateur. Avicii knew what he was doing using him.
When they first released this song and I realized it was Dan Tyminski on vocals, I straight up did a double take. I never expected a bluegrass legend to show up in popular electronic music.

Dan Tyminski, the vocalist, is a Bluegrass artist who's mainly worked with Alison Krauss. He's also the singing voice to George Clooney's character in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000). Finally we can see the faces behind those great voices that accompanied Avicii in his songs. I'm not a total fan of the electronic genre, but I do like several songs, and what Avicii did was very innovative in my humble opinion, because he expanded the genre by mixing it with classic styles like bluegrass or folk among others. @Gunner Storm Tim's father has stated he suffered from depression and anxiety even before he got into music
@itsvizor171
4 жыл бұрын
Gunner Storm He was struggling with his mental health from the beginning. It wasn’t a product of his career, he already had issues since his teenage. His family has been open about it. Although he developed quite a few health problems during his time in the industry, I believe he could’ve survived them. Plus, I don’t think you understand the concept of depression. You don’t just grow out of it. It is very ignorant of you if you believe that. And NOBODY’S blaming Tim. We all know he was pushed past his limits and he probably would’ve stayed longer if it wasn’t for his management. But with the level of mental torment he was going through, I don’t think he would’ve hung around very long. If he took such a drastic measure, I would say he had already thought quite a lot about it, it wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. He was very observant and thoughtful. And if you listen to all of his music, right from the start, you’d definitely understand that he wasn’t well. All of his music is a plea of help, and speaks of his troubles. I’m just blown away by how we didn’t realise this from the very start. It all unraveled in front of our eyes, in front o& millions o& people and we couldn’t do anything.

Considero Avicii un genio della musica. Ci ha lasciati troppo presto . Ma sento di ringraziarlo per l'energia che ha trasmesso . Una grande energia...
we need to see this concert again, wishing this covid-19 will be soon ended

Try living with suicide thoughts, you think taking a life is egoistic?? Once your dead you are dead, in five years nobody will remember you. FACTS

Did Avicii say this quote? cause I totally agree.
Bro. This man is bigger than life. Respect. First time watch this, thinking why these country singers this masterpiece ? I understand why. This is perfect. Holaa from Finland 🇫🇮
Dan Tyminski rocks this song. Great tribute. Awesome message!
even tho he's dead his legacy still lives on
Nobody Can 't give the impression one poeple Can give the impression this is Avicii 😥😥😥😥😥😥😭
He's one of those music artists who didn't care about money and Fame, I used to always be struggling having friends in my school and thought I wasn't good enough, but after Listening to His Music It Inspired me To Try again and again until I've reached my Goal. We will Miss you and will Never Forget you, Avicii ◢◤
Gives me flashbacks to 2013. Coming home from school and heading to the beach with this song blasting through the speakers.
Every time I listen to this song! I can't hold back my tears! RIP My Legendary!
No matter how many times I watch and listen to this song, I end up in pieces crying like a baby, so emotional, love you Tim. RIP I hope you've found the peace you couldn't find on this earth. 1989-forever.
Man I’m tearing up right now listening to this, trying to go to bed :/. We miss you avicii..
knowing Dan Tyminski from his bluegrass work I was stunned hearing his voice on a Avicii track back when this came out, great to see him doing this live tribute.
