Tim and Chris Martin wrote and recorded “Heaven” in 2014, with Tim producing the final version in 2016.
About the tribute video: My name is Levan Tsikurishvili and I have been working with Tim since about 2013. During these years, we made 8 music videos, 3 concert movies and 2 documentaries together. In 2016, right after his last show, Tim, Tim’s childhood friend Awat, and I spent 19 beautiful days in Madagascar, ll Saint Marie. We spoke about everything, laughed, played monopoly, hung out with lemurs, and explored the entire island together. Now, two-and-a-half years later, I returned to the island to remember Tim, to honor his legacy, and to recreate the memories that will stay with us forever.
Note: This video is a collection of my smartphone videos plus some parts of unused material from the documentary Avicii: True Stories and newly shot footage. I also did some 3D animations in order to recreate the moments that I did not have any video material from.

Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress. When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be able to be happy and to do what he loved most - music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could now not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight. Tim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. The person you were and your music will keep your memory alive. We love you, The Family.

That song reminds me the best moments but also the hard times I've been living. Depression was not easy as it seems to be. Thank God and thank my parents that supported me every time I needed them, but also thank you Avicii because with your songs I have another reason to be here, to feel the magic and wake me up in heaven.

Rory kramer never say that... Rory create the video for the nights, but live a life you will remember was told by Tim in this song, in the lyrics. If you know Stories, the Tim's second album there's another song called trouble which says the same thing (" I may not to be perfect but I'm in love with this life"). I love Rory he says a lot of beatiful motto like "Run it!" Or "fear is only a skin deep". But live a life you wil remember was said by Tim. Search if you don't believe me

This was hand down one of the toughest loss to the Gen Z and Millennial generations. Dude was extremely talented, I'm sad, as Avicii was a huge part of my childhood.

On March 19th at 8:41 pm, my grandfather passed away. After weeks of suffering, he stopped breathing. On that beautiful night when the whole family was gathered around him, he went to heaven. This beautiful song will always remind me of him. Thanks Avicii.

This is one of the best tribute song i've ever heard, Not just in edm industry but at any genre. Sadly it's painful when this kind of song gets released after someone's passing, especially the author of the song. @@nicrawlinson9278 You could be correct but some footage from this trip was also used in Avicii: True Stories, so that could be why the crew was there. But, I mean, we'll never know. It does give me some sort of peace, thinking that he planned it and had control over it, instead of simply... letting go. You know?

It's just amazing to see him smile this much. He is so happy whenever he is only with his loved ones and not faking a smile while in front of all of these crowds of people jumping and cheering for him. This is what he was made for, creating music for us and smiling forever. Yes, Tim went to heaven for his rightful soul and living in the peace he always wanted to find. We are the unfortunate people who can't see him smiling from heaven but he can see us. Heaven needed a DJ but not anybody, someone at his level. He is alright stop crying. He is the best forever. This video should get a billion views. ◢◤

Tus palabras son tan acertadas y reconfortantes. Marcó una época en mí que en lo personal odié, pero su música me hizo sentir vivo y feliz a pesar del horror que viví en secundaria, y en prepa me terminó de levantar. Everytime i watch this video i cry. I've been there at Saint Marie around the same time. Also Madagascar is the Origin of my father, who I didn't know until i was 22. Lots of personal memories and symbolism of this video touches my soul. Rest in peace Aviccii.
