AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable C875 - Complete Setup and Operation Tutorial - This video shows how to connect the lgp device to the PS4 game console and how to use the software for the device on your PC and other useful must know tips. This video also shows the Avermedia live gamer portable full setup.
The recording device works great, although; it does have some issues. The instruction manual is horrible and lacks simplicity. This is why I provided a video that explains the whole setup of the recorder. Another issue is that I was not able to record 1080P, but only 720P after many attempts. My PS4, TV, and recorder device is all setup for 1080P, yet it was not able to record at 1080P. The video recording is clear and looks good, but still not 1080P. Setup took awhile, due to lack of instructions and videos (online) that only show part of the setup. The 1080P recording might be user error, but without getting a response after several days from the "AVerMedia" by both contact email and calling them by phone, I am starting to think there is a bigger issue. Overall, the recorder works great, software is easy to use, but instruction manual, device not recording at 1080P, and poor customer service is why I gave the "AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable" a 3 star.
Tip:
1. Format SD Card for FAT32
2. HDMI is connected to back of PS4
3. HDMI is connected directly to TV
4. Turn off HDCP for recording to work
Settings - System - Turn Off HDCP
5. Make sure Video is at 1080P
Settings - Sound & Screen - Video Output Settings
6. Download Software from Manufacture
7. To use Software Plug in Cable to side of Recorder and USB to PC/Laptop after installing Software

Hey, so I have ran into a problem. I downloaded the software and I tried to start a livestream but when I selected twitch it said N/A and when I click “get authorised” It just brings up a little white screen. It could be my internet but It seem that other people are having this problem too. What should I do about this?

I have this same product. When trying to get it to work in OBS, I get a 1 second video feed and it freezes. Unplug the HDMI and plug it back in, again just 1 second of video and it freezes the video.. Windows 10, Any ideas at all? Im at a loss here

i can only stream at 60 fps if my console is set to 720p. is that how it works or is my card bad?

I'm having SO many problems with this AverMedia LGP. On short tests, it always seems good. I recorded probably 30 minutes of Assassin's Creed Origins from my PS4, and on the 1280x720 60fps setting, it turned out pretty good (with no lag). Both on PC and PC free modes. However, I just recorded over 90 minutes from my SNES Classic in regular PC mode with these same settings, and all it did was record the audio with a frozen screen. All of that work and I have to do it all again. I hate how unpredictable this thing is. Sometimes it loses sound, and I have trouble getting it back. The whole time I'm recording, I'm worried about whether it's recording properly or not. I sold my Elgato Game Capture HD due to never being able to figure out how to record good with it. And now this one is doing the same thing to me.

I agree. It is why I rated it a 3 three on Amazon, due to the many issue I have experienced and the lack of manual detailing how to fix all the issues that a consumer may experience.

Yes. It does record audio.
I bought a Avermedia LPG Lite for my Nintendo Wii, and got a Wii2HDMI stick or how you call it, but for some reason if I connect my TV to my PC it doesn't react, is this because I connected my capture card wrong?

So If I want to livestream ps4 games through my computer, I'll need 2 monitors? 1 monitor to manage OBS and stream settings. 1 monitor to see the game video. No way to have OBS and the game in the same monitor WITHOUT audio desync? What I didn't want is to keep changing hdmi cables all the time in my main monitor Thanks

how do i save the footage to my pc if the avermedia is powered my the console? usually the capture card is plugged into teh pc so the pc powers the capture card and be able to save it to teh pc

You do not need a computer at all! If anything all you need to power the capture card is through a USB to outlet plug in like for your cell phone cubes to charge them. If you don't have a computer it offers a SD card slot on the side so you can save your videos on there and you aren't locked to using a pc, although if you are using pc to view the recording, I would recommend using another monitor as it has a slight delay in display and response in the remote to screen. As for the switch it 100% works and the quality is amazing, maybe a bit of a lower frame rate, but you can also purchase the second version of this capture card! I hope this helps you out!

hello I have a problem with this device when I put it into sd card record mode it will not work. IT will flash red then blue then red then blue and records nothing. It works fine connected to my pc when in pc mode but the card will not record tried formatting the card in different formats nothing seems to work can you help ? I am connecting it to my ps3 nothing works even when connected to pc the sd card will not record am I doing some thing wrong . I have tried other cards as well nothing seems to work any advise please ?

I installed every thing correctly its to slow on my ps4 for streamibg taking few seconds to move on another game when scrolling
