I think weve only had 1 quick play negate in pokemon ever. Sp power spray. That shit was not fun to play against. Pokemon does have quite a handful of floodgates tho

What's even crazier is that LugiaVSTAR, the namesake of a Tier 0 deck, is like 10-12 bucks a copy. You could buy a playset of 4 Lugia V and 3 Lugia VSTAR and literally have the best deck core for the price of....one Spright Blue on release.

@@FlaggedStar In Yugioh terms It’s a Hard Once Per Duel that summons two monster from the GY ignoring summoning conditions (and ignoring the rule where you must summon successfully first). He himself, it’s not that good once he sets the two archeops in play, but you might as well hit with it. The archeops are truly the stars of the show, Lugia is just the best way of getting them out

@@FlaggedStar Both, it's pretty good but what's also facilitating it (I'm new to the Pokemon TCG so I may be wrong) is the fact that double colorless energy exists as a card.

Pokemon cards are so chill. "When, if, then, after" are normal interchangeable words.

The language on Magic cards, meanwhile, resembles a programming language sometimes. It’s easy to read once you understand it, and it’s more word efficient, but there is a bit of a learning curve.

@@borrelsupremacy Sadly, the lack of good boss monster and burning to many resources make so the deck can't be more than a casual rogue deck But hey, at least it's fun piloting a deck with space bear doing dark synchro summon to reveal a cute little bear that then jump of into a snuffing gundam that either pop 2 cards or is a Skill Drain for link and xyz monsters

@@borrelsupremacy But on a unsearchable spell card except for one of the boss monsters and only if your opponent has specifical summon a monster But yeah, it does feel really good when it's on your 1st turn hand and when you are able to resolve your effect without any interruption

Research is actually one of the best cards ever printed but this deck doesn’t need the pure draw power since it has built in search on the Pokémon. It would rather have more searching than draw specifically.

Depends on format, but yeah, last couple of years it's anywhere from 3 to one card is just 4 of them and you play 3 of that card. I love being poor

@@lorenzotavares1815 It’s a Supporter card. Not only is it once per turn, but you also can’t play any OTHER Supporter cards that turn. Unsurprisingly, the strongest effects tend to be on Supporters.

In the Expanded format, there are 23 banned cards and 5 of them are hand disruption cards. Delinquent, Ghetsis, Jessie & James, Red Card, and Reset Stamp.

Got into Pokémon tcg lasted year. This game is broke af, I came back to yugioh😂… I’ve never seen so many draw cards with no cost, and the worst part is you can’t interrupt your opponents plays, you just gotta deal with their boards😂😂

Everyone of the cards are good in the game. Lugia is the best deck right now and while research is good, I would run it as a 2 off due to not wanting to discard to many resources

Lugia lets you setup a 4 energy search reusable every turn, The Meta deck right now. And while this current iteration of the Professor card doesn't see that much play, the card is incredibly powerful, but Pokemon really values every single card in their deck, and discards kinda hurt. You still run the card for a safenet consistancy booster

all 3 cards are actively played in the meta rn. Lugia is the best deck in the format, many decks play 3-4 "Professor's Research", and Path to the peak is one of the most played stadium cards.

Like in Standard or Expanded? I know Gengar VMax was a competitive deck for a while because it countered another top tier deck at the time of its release, Mew VMax. However, it is a bit too slow to handle Lugia and other decks from Silver Tempest. THere is a gimmicky deck using Mewtwo V Union that has a Gengar to move damage around and then you healing it all the damage.

I just know the Pokémon tcg is cheap

I was gonna mention Magic, but even there the mana system stops you from going too crazy. If your opponent’s tapped out, you have free reign. If he has two untapped Islands and a card in hand though…
