It's Mackie's world and we're all living in it.

Mackie has successfully pulled off one of the biggest cons in Hollywood. He does the loud, obnoxious, ridiculous at times yet always hilarious facade...however....it is ALL a smoke screen. I've noticed in a few of these interviews and press tours that if asked a serious or important question, he answers them thoughtfully, intelligently, earnestly, and very eloquently. It's like a whole different person...then when he's done with that question, he immediately morphs back into that goofy bastard we all love. I think he realised that if he does all these hijinks and gets people to believe that persona is all there is, people won't go digging into his private life. A giant, brilliant smokescreen. Fascinating, this guy.
