Please get to season 2!! Some animated shows break boundaries and this is certainly one of them. My other favs are South Park, Rick and Morty, and Bojack Horseman.

As a literal refugee, I think your reaction series to Avatar might be one of the most important things on the internet, and yet barely anybody's discovered it. I hope you continue the series, and then make KZread shorts where you just clip all your best reactions.

Such a great ending to a season. I loved seeing Iroh show his true colors and dedication to the Spirits.

I love Iroh. And I love the emotion in his voice when he threatens Zhao.

Great reaction! I’m glad you understood that Aang was merging with the ocean spirit, not just using the avatar state. I think a lot of reactors miss that and think it’s just Aang himself doing all of this. It’s really important that the ocean claimed Zhao (and presumably a number of other fire nation soldiers), not Aang. Aang would never kill anyone, but the ocean would (and does).

Im sure im the only one who feels this way, but I really like that Zhao actively _pulls his hand back_ , and just accepts his fate. He is many things, almost all of them bad, but a coward, he definitely is _not_ .

Like Zach, I've always just seen it as yet another example of Zhao's contempt for Zuko, but I really like your interpretation that Zhao was willing to deal with the consequences of 'trifling with the Spirits' as Iroh put it. Very interesting point 😄

Also, I respect your perspective but i feel like if you are someone who commits genocide and tries to destroy ancient and sacred deities in the process...there's no redeeming qualities left in you.

Alright, you finished the first season! 🙂 Anyway, a couple interesting details to point out: 1. After Aang fuses with the ocean spirit, note that he only pushes the water forward. This is because the moon is needed for waterbenders to pull back water, and Zhao had just killed the moon, so.... 2. Zuko's sister appeared in an earlier episode, specifically episode 12. She was present in Zuko's flashback during the scene where he got his face burned by his father. It should also be noted that she watched her brother's punishment with a grin very similar to the one she wore in the finale.... Anyway, looking forward to your journey through the rest of the show! 😉

That's ok Tim, you can always give me criticism or make observations as long as you're respectful. You are right, it takes me veeery long to complete things lol. I'm currently trying to work on it. The case with Avatar is that it lost a lot of "popularity" on my channel and I found myself paying more attention to other things. I guess this happens to creators you know, you become less inspired when you see a lack of enthusiasm in your audience. To be completely honest, I had already decided to stop reacting to this show but I changed my mind and i'm just going to take a hiatus. I want to try other things and see what works best for my channel. Soon enough i'll be picking up on season 2, just not for now because it truly isn't what my audience wants to see :/

I love your reactions to this beautiful show, and would like to continue sharing your journey, but if you need to drop it, I understand, and I would encourage you to just finish watching on your own, when you need a break from recording. It's worth it! Whatever you decide, I support your choice. :)

If you like the show, watch it and perhaps share your reaction to it. You're worried too much about how big those youtube numbers are, when it doen't matter all that much since it's a relatively small channel.

ikr such a long wait but worth it every time

I am sure you will get floods of comments saying "oh just wait it gets better" But its true. The show really does get better and better as it goes on...not just between seasons, but between episodes too. It's lightning in a bottle that can't be replicated. As for S1 I like it a lot. It really sets up the tone and kind of show you are in for. It's definetly the weakest but also has some of my favorite moments and jokes. The comedy in this show is so good, whether your 7 or 30. Animation has come a long way since the old days. And its shows like Avatar that really show that just because its animated doesn't mean its just for kids, just like if it's live action doesn't make it just for adults. Glad your enjoying it and can't wait to see the rest of your reactions to the rollercoaster that is the next 44 episodes (If I mathed correctly haha)

I think you will like Zukos' sister, she is a hell of a character. 😊👍

Can't wait to see you reacton to S2. I think Zhao is a pretty realistic vilain, I think sadly he's right, history would fantasize about the guy who darkened the moon, at least a lot of people would do the same just for the sake of being remembered in history.

Yay!! So glad you decided to watch the finale!! It's such a good episode!! It has a scary sequence, mixed with war, funny jokes, the death and sacrifice of Yue, Aang's transformation and the spirit world looks like a Gibli movie. And somehow it all works together! Also there is a sneak peak of the show's best villain :) Loved the reation!

I'm so glad you liked the finale, there are many episodes at least as good to come! I also really like your post-episode 'analyses' - you have very insightful comments and ask clever questions, please don't stop doing them :D

Awww, this is really sweet. Thank you. I always wonder if people make it to the end hahaha. Regarding the continuity of these reactions, i do have to say that i'm going to take a hiatus from Avatar. I love the show but the videos don't get a lot of views and that's not even the main problem. The issue is that my analytics are indicating me that my audience doesn't want to see these videos, everytime i post an Avatar reaction i lose subscribers and even the people who do watch, don't make it to half of the video (hey, i don't have a problem saying it haha, it's the true). So besides the numbers, the message that i'm getting is that people are not interested and as a creator i should listen.

I understand of course, and it's 100% up to you - though I definitely recommend watching it at least "by yourself" - the series and you seem a good fit, especially on an emotional level (like the catharsis-like moments you experienced with the Lord of the Rings movies); I think it still has a lot to give you. @@amandamiquilena I understand where you're coming from but you should know that reactors who don't finish series' often don't perform as well as those who do. You might not individualy be getting the number of views as you do on other videos but collectively, the views you get from those who have started a series with you drop off if you don't finish the series' you've already started. Personally speaking, I was subscribed to you for your avatar reactions and it's how I discovered your channel. I think your issue was the fact that you were creating a separate video for every single episode in season 1 and season 1 is notoriously the least "views-generating" season. If you grouped like 3-5 episodes into each upload, you definitely would've received a lot more consistent view numbers because there's just certain episodes in the first season that just don't perform well. Avatar is also an extremely short series though so if you had been doing avatar uploads by grouping episodes, you would've been on the last season by now and would've retained your audience who had subscribed to you for the show. I'm not criticizing you or anything so please don't take this comment like that. I'm just letting you know what I've seen from my observations of people who react to this show over the last few years 💁🏻‍♂️ Personally I would suggest finishing up whatever series you've started already then sticking exclusively to movie reactions after you finish them as they definitely get way more views than show reactions.

@@amandamiquilena Really too bad to hear :( I loved your reactions so far, and knowing that this show's best content is actually just starting with the 2nd book, it's a shame I'm not able to see the reactions to that :P I get where you're coming from, but I also think a lot of people are actually looking for reactions to book 2 & 3, since those are the most epic (and this might be a reason you see a decrease in popularity - but I don't know). Really hope you decide to pick it up again, but whatever you do, thanks for the video's so far!

Even if you don’t make videos, you’re really missing out stopping at book 1

Season one is great. But, it pales before season two, and nothing compares to season three. The face-stealer, in my view, was really stealing souls. But, a kid's show can't say souls. I also suspect that the ocean spirit held back because of the influence of Aang. They could've killed everyone on the fire nation ships had they desired. the oceans has no problem with killing people on ships. And, Zuko is slowly seeing that the world is not quite as he was told it would be.

Excellent points! and very interesting, I did see that the fire nation "soldiers?" were on the ships as they went down but i think that even tho it was the ocean spirit doing it, it is part of the Avatar's mission. I mean, i might be wrong but the Avatar is meant to save the world and i don't think that's a type of task that can be achieved without spilling any blood (feel free to correct me lol)

Another series I'm sure you'd enjoy is the great anime _Cowboy Bebop_ (1998). It is a Science Fiction series about a crew of planet-hopping bounty hunters. It has engaging characters, an intriguing graphic style, and a memorable. jazz-influenced score. Also, there is only the one season of 26 episodes, so not as long-term a commitment as some series.

@@amandamiquilena Yeah there was a special version of ATLA that came out called Avatar Extras, which had both informative and humorous commentary about the show for each episode. It can be hard to decipher which information was just supposed to be a funny joke and which was legit canon, but for the most part the fans accept a lot of it as canon. For example, in this very episode, we learn that the voice of Aang in the Avatar State is all of the Avatar's voice actors together at once, both the Avatars we have met thus far and the ones we have not met yet. Also, the commentary named Aang's water monster Koi-Zilla (like Godzilla? but Koi fish?)

Do not underestimate the world of animation. There are shows that would blow your mind, and even more you would enjoy very much. Do you need suggestions ?

there is another show, similar in art style, and has alot of the same voice actors of Rick and Morty, the Show is called Solar Opposites. I would highly suggest it if you have time with your schedule, or after you finish Rick and Morty. not sure where you can stream it from France, i only know its available on Hulu in America. but it is worth checking out, 100%.

I did enjoy this show a lot but the reason I stopped posting reaction videos to it was (to be completely honest) because the views and the watch time weren't very good. In the past, I have continued reacting to franchises and shows that didn't get many views but in this case, the major issue was the watch time, which indicated that the people who were still watching were not watching for a long time. Now that could have been because of me, i'm not perfect haha but it's easy to understand that i couldn't continue to post something that my own audience wasn't interested in.

Season one is good. I love it, but dear god it's about to pick up in a big way.

There is a lot of great animated shows out there, would love to see some of your reaction on them if you ever get the time. Invader Zim is kind of like Rick and Morty for kids, and good story shows I could suggest is Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, and Owl House.

A fun theory I heard for Yue is that, if it wasn't for Aang being stuck in ice for 100 years, she would have been the next Avatar in the cycle. Only due to Aang still technically being alive, she wasn't and the lack of the Avatar spirit was why Yue needed part of the moon spirits life force to live herself.

and its the weakest of the three season
