Thats why in the secret dance party episode he was giving a history lesson to the Fire Nation kids that their people had the best dances among all the nations. That would also explain why the Ember Island episode at the beach party shows no one was dancing.

The Last Agni Kai captured the tragedy of the scene so well, it wasn't a sibling rivalry being won it was two kids fighting it out because their parents screwed them up.

@@vteccomplex she prefered Zuko and didn't hide it, Azula were jealous and became cruel. Also Ozai loved Zuko, it was Ursa who turned him against his son. Not intentionaly ofc, Ozai had a really fucked up sense of justice (explained in comics)

@@vteccomplex you gotta remember Ursa didn’t want that damn life. She was isolated from her parents, confined to the palace, and had to leave her love and dreams all behind. After she had Zuko, Azulon and Ozai likely decided that her first child wasn’t good enough so she had to make another one - Azula. Ursa was also physically and verbally abused, as seen in the comics. She wasn’t given a lot of chances or power to be as close to Azula as she could to Zuko because Ozai didn’t care about his own son. While she did make mistakes, Ursa shouldn’t be assigned blame on the same level that Ozai did.

The reason why the fire nations music is so good is because, you can feel the immense power of the nation as well as the pain caused by their misguided path. The later chapters brought that pain and sorrow to the forefront once we got a more personal look at the nation. They made sure that we realized that the fire nation were people too and that they themselves were hurt by this blood thirsty conquest. In the end Zukos themes somewhat conveyed the feelings of truth revealed as well as healing to us as he attempting to bring salvation and true honor back to his nation.

One sad reality you learn if you are at all in touch with history is this: most people have zero clue that what they're doing is wrong. Tons of gulag guards, concentration camp workers, etc, had zero clue what was going on. They were told things like "these people are mass murderers and criminals." What's even sadder is that these same misguided people often have to die to stop such atrocities.

I think Azula's theme is a soundtrack that screams Azula. That girly wickedness is just plastered all over the soundtrack with all the bells and the horns and creepy sounds. Also, iy's amazing how these scenes in ATLA can be made into a gif and it doesn't break up and look choppy when it's on loop.

You're absolutely right. The gamelan (Indonesian Orchestra) being used as well as the timing of the notes make her sound dangerous and maliciously controlled, which is the first thing that always comes into mind when listening to Azula; but when you listen to it a second time as a whole, it sounds just like her: a broken and unloved girl.

10:18 i loveeee this gif but i just realized zukos scar is moving alongside the fire behind him and I just find it so poetic, because the scar was created with fire. It kind of reflects how Zuko has grown to accept and find peace within his past. He is amazed by the fire of the dragons and its movements and we as viewers can see it through the movement on his scar wow... No matter how many times I rewatch this series, there will always be new details to discover

The Phoenix king theme is so ominous and I love! it like the amount of anxiety it builds up is amazing!

Uncle iroh's tsungi horn was actually a duduk horn that was modified to sound different.

There's just something powerful about seeing the loop of blue and orange fire while hearing the last Agni Kai and picturing the fight. There's a lot of emotion conveyed for a (somewhat) simple beat, I'm mainly referring to the start. This has got to be the best thing to listen to while vigorously typing out tons of words for your 5 different assessments, thank you…

I wouldve loved to see a fourth season. Zuko integration in Team Avatar seemed rushed. I wouldve loved to see Iroh vs Ozai. Firelord is basically an unknown person. Idk the Zuko in Team Avatar chapters were good. Couldve included Zuko and Azula searching for his mother. Plenty of material Was... There.

I'm happy it finished. As a show gets lengthier it's quality gets lower. I too would like to see another season myself, but all great things must come to an end sadly..

An extra five episodes to give Zuko more time with the team would've been nice. Toph never got her field trip with Zuko.

The reason book 4 didn't happen was because of the movie being made at the same time. Although Night Shyamalan wanted book 4 to happen, Dimartino et Konietzko wanted the movie to move forward. This was confirmed by Aaron Ehasz and apparently it would have been centered around Azula's redemption and Zuko guiding her along the way.

This is my favourite soundtrack right now! I listen to it all the time. Thank you :))

This is one of those shows i wish i could erase my memory to watch it again and get hyped as the first time

this weird reminded me of the scene where zuko screams of how angry he is at himself at the beach and... when this scene played my dad just looked at me and laughed and went 'haha look its you' it's. so ironic looking back? my dad's actually pretty alright but both my parents did some stuff they can hardly take back and the reason ppl often associate me with zuko and fire bending (when the conversation comes up) is mostly rooted in these mistakes. anyways, don't be afraid of your inner anger. It's frightning and feels like this mountain you cant even begin to see the peak of, but it's a part of you and you can learn to control it. hope ya'll havin a rad day nh stuff

That song was played in the first scene of LOK.

Uncle Iroh's theme made all the real ones shed a single tear in silence.

Imagine a series of their lives as teenagers and adults that would be cool
