@Liban Ali - Everything you´re saying about the changes for Soka´s character, and the original creators leaving because of the differences are FALSE, and the people behind the show officially debunked them like A DAY after they came out... They said that Sokka´s sexism will be MORE SUBTLE (not straight up "girls suck and should always be in the kitchen" like in the original show), but it will still be there, and pretty much the same. About the original creators leaving, nobody really knows why YET, but the RUMOR right now is that they left because they wanted to change TOO MUCH (the original creators wanted to change entire character arcs and plots, correct things they considered to be "mistakes" from the original, and do storylines that they intended to be in the cartoon but never could actually do). The word out right now is that Netflix pretty much wanted a live action copy of the original series, and the original creators didn´t want to tell the exact same story again. One of the only concerns I have left about this show is the pacing: Which scenes are they going to mix together or edit out, to fit the whole season in 8 episodes? Will it work? With One Piece it was the same... For mega-fans like me, it was still weird to see Arlong at Baratie, to see the main characters come together like that, in episode 1.. It has literally NOTHING to do with the original. But it´s filled with references, lines of dialogue, and a SIMILAR feel. Let´s see how well it works here, but mostly... How well the fans accept those changes, this time. And I hope the fight scenes are good and without too many cuts, too.

Really glad to hear I was wrong on this! Pacing will be very interesting and just like you said with One Piece, we may see characters or moments introduced earlier than intended. Fingers crossed for its success.

live action will have more runtime than the og I believe. 8 episodes each 1 hour long gives it 40 extra minutes. the cartoon did a lot of things that wouldn’t translate well into a “real life” atmosphere because yk they’re animated, so I think it’ll work if they just stick to the more important things. not that I wouldn’t like to see them lol but it would be understandable

@@yhviekelly7775 Yes, I know. The runtimes are almost the same. But it´s still impossible to adapt, when you think about it... If they didn´t eliminate some plotlines and characters, there would be like 3 episodes this season with several different locations, secondary characters and main villains, all in the same chapter (meaning: Episodes where Aang and the gang go to a location, meet an entirely new group of characters, a new villain, they defeat them and move on to the next location... Then a new group of characters, a new villain, a new location.. And that would happen 4 or 5 times in a single episode. Literally: We meet Suki and the Kioshi warriors, we have an entire plot with them... Then we meet Jet and his freedom fighters, we have an entire plot with them... Then Aang goes to meet Roku, we have all that... Then they fight the pirates... Then the whole story with the village and the Panda spirit... All LITERALLY in ONE EPISODE). Could you imagine something like that? It would be ridiculous, and Im pretty sure fans would hate it xD. They NEED to eliminate some characters and subplots... Or they need to divide that same runtime in more episodes (like 12 maybe, with a shorter runtime each). And that´s impossible, because that´s not how TV shows are made: This show must have been pitched to Netflix, scripted and created ALWAYS with 8 episodes in mind. Anyway, I hope its good. We have no idea yet, so I choose to be optimistic, and enjoy this build up to the series.. And if then the show it´s actually good, it will be even better =)

@@LibanAli Yeap. Fingers crossed. But I do have to say... If the CG effects are not great, if the makeup is iffy, or the sets and costumes look a bit fake.. It would be a bummer, but it seems like a small price to pay (at least to me). If I have to choose, I would rather have a show with heart, good acting and good writing, and a good portrayal of this story and these characters. That´s what matters the most, imo.

Man i have hope that this show is gonna be great. Don't listen to them Naysayer
