That part when Toph said "That's a lot of fire, isn't it?" was SOOO chilling when I first saw this! I mean, Toph is blind so that means she had to have heard or felt the vibrations/heat of the flames (from an airship I might add!) The sheer power of this scene is something you never forget!

This is legit my favorite soundtrack in the show. It is so chilling and I never noticed how awesome it was when I was a kid, but rewatching made me fall in love with it. Those violins and drums are just TOO GOOD

The music from both A:tLA and LoK is so beautiful and unique. These two shows have the best soundtracks ever!

@@chingamfong Well, I'm a little bit disappointed about that the filmmakers didn't recognite in ATLA (I haven't seen the other) that not just the Moon, but Sun is a very important waterbender too. Also it'd be interesting to know what happens with the waterbenders when is a spring or neap tide.

This theme is spectacular on EVERY count, and it's only a tiny fraction of what I loved about it. In my opinion, best fight in atla. Everyone always says that the last Agni kai was the best fight and I’m definitely not saying it was a bad fight, it was a great fight. But the sheer amount of intensity and panic and threat that is going on in this fight sky’s the limit. This fight has been built up throughout the entire show. The final battle. And we not only see just how powerful the comet is, but aang mastering the avatar state forming the,what I like to call, “elemental atom” we see the emotion, the fear, and the conflict. The best fight.

IntergalacticTarifas the airship scene was one of the best in ATLA's entirety imo, the firebenders in perfect sync while getting into stance, almost like a dance, and the looming climax scene when Sokka's airship rams into the others. Isn't to say the other iconic scenes are bad, I just particularly enjoy this one.

"Woah... That's alot of fire, isn't it" I'm imagining the only reason she knows this is because she can not only hear the flames, but the heat is so intense that she can feel it from that far away. Firebenders empowered by Sozin's Comet are truly forces of nature.

The first time I heard this music as the camera pans sideways showing each of the Fire Nation Airships to the edge with Ozai grinning was the best moment ever for me.

My love for ATLA is out of this world. Literally the best show ever IMO. I don’t think I’ll ever find a show as good as this one.

I never really thought about it, but this music is what really makes the fight between Ozai and Aang so terrifying and intense. Like, the fear in the first few measures of the song is staggering.

That moment when the comet is right behind Aang and you know the next episodes are about to be crazy. This is the greatest show I've ever seen.

There are certain portions of the music during the finale that I wish were released to the public like the sequence where Ozai was unleashing a raging inferno into the barricade of stone that aang used to shield himself. Music in that sequence was chaotic.

I have listened to this for 15 years and still get fucking chills.

I will never ever get over this show. It is a true masterpiece and I am still going to watch it over and over again when I am old and I won't care. This thing is TOO good .

This song should be called Airship slice. This is the song playing when Sokka and the gang crash the airships into each other.

The Firebending during the comet is so amazingly over the top The small sparks that start the blast to an almost scream like noise of the full blast of fire that looks like it would keep expanding forever if it weren't stopped by the ground

This has underrated written all over it

The violin in this score is my absolute favorite. I'm a sucker for violins in anything as I was in Orchestra for 6 years.

The most amazing soundtrack of any kids cartoon ever! They just don’t make them like this anymore! I’m glad I grew up in this generation.

Story about Zuko's mom: She is still alive but she has changed her face by a spirit and lives with the love of her life, wich isnt Ozai but a childhood friend. She was forced to marry Ozai. While they were married her mom was always sending letters to her friend and once she wanted to know if Ozai checks her letters so she writed down that Zuko isnt Ozai's son (wich isnt true btw) and when Ozai saw the letter he wanted to kill Zuko, but Zuko's mom saved Zuko by begging Ozai that if she will leave Ozai that he wouldn't hurt Zuko. And that's how it went. Sorry for the spoilers

Ilyassahr I thought azulon said, ozai should kill his son, because he wanted azulon to betray iroh, so that ozai could be the next firelord. And ursa made poison, gave it to ozai to kill azulon instead of zuko. I don’t know for sure, i haven’t read the comics, but someone said that in a video

0:50 The fiery clash is a striking reflection of the nature of the two opponents: one is characterised by brute force and attack, the other by elegance and blocking. The strenght of characters of two them are roughly equal. Also I love how they increases the tension when the trio turns into position and speeds up the zeppelin. It's a pity that I can't hear the violin at the end right before they crush the first half of the fleet.

Something about those metal drums inspires a sense of urgency. I was recently listening to the 1917 movie OST and in the track Sixteen Hundred Men, a similar sounding instrument is incorporated.

If you want the truth, I think this show is better watching it as an adult as you can better appreciate the phenomenal character development (ESPECIALLY the character development), character depth, character arcs, character relationships, art direction, imagination, the flashy action, powerful music, amazing animation, threatening villain, and the surprisingly deep, quite mature themes (themes like war, genocide, imperialism, and dictatorship are rarely explored in youth).

I still get chills from how Aang just wastes Ozai's airship without breaking a sweat.
