This song was one of my favorite bits of the entire movie. I didn't realize that it was his death song until just now. Oh, and one more thing. Apparently, there was originally a scene where Jake had to kill Tsu'Tey in order to become chief but it made the directors ( and everyone else ) cry so they cut it. I'm glad they did.

It depends which version you’re referring to, in the extended version he falls but survives at 1:37. But in the theatrical release that’s when Trudy lives

James Horner's score to this cue was beautifully elegiac, especially the duo vocalists with their bends, and lots of fantastic dissonance. The gliss at the end represents that chilling fall from grace, that slide into agony.

1:14 is the part I always start to cry at… not only is it when Tsut’tey ( not sure if I spelled it right ) falls but the vocals are super impressive… Rip Tsut’tey, Trudy, Seyzey and any others that died while this song was playing. 🪦

Trudy was a soldier in all the extent of the word, even lamenting she couldnt keep fighting and ask for the forgiveness of others..... to the bitter end she fought for what she believed even if it meant death, my favorite character of the film

2022 and the way of the water is finally out. I watched it in 3d. And. It was the most moving movie I've ever seen. I was literally sobbing on front of everyone because of how beautiful it was. And I also learned that this song is used to honor characters in the franchise who fought and died a brave battle for a noble cause.

In 2009 I was 5 years old, I went to see this movie in theater in 3d in Laredo tx. I will never forget this sound track after the tree was shot down. The scene where the women and children where crushed impacted my 5 year old mind. Even though I was young I knew who was in the wrong and who was the good guy

This song was what played in my head when I found evidence of my husband's affairs. After ten years together. I had no idea. I had never even seen him glance at another woman. He spoke of cheaters so hatefully, I thought he would have been the last person to do that to me. Avatar is my favorite movie and I had been watching it earlier that day. It isnt too often I am brought to my knees, but I felt like the Na'vi gazing at what was left of Hometree.

I was thinking the same thing, but replace Anakin's Dark Deeds in Order 66 sequence with this score. The choir part when the key change comes is perfect for when Anakin ignites his lightsaber in the room with the younglings, then cutting to padme watching the temple burn from her apartment crying

The deleted scene made this track even more impactful
