I like his video on "Batman Arkham Origins", he has a blast riffing on it but also a blast with the game itself too. Even saying it's reputation as a bad game is NOT deserved. And he's damn right. The version he plays in the video is pretty buggy glitchy in some ways but that's unfair to focus on because I have it on WiiU and it looks, plays and runs really well on it. No weirdness, loading errors, freezes, hilarious glitches ECT. For whatever reason WiiU port seems to be the best and most stable one. Finally a victory for WiiU haha

But they still have glass cockpits and human pilots? Plus you have to remember that the Navi are like 10 feet tall, and their bows are about the same size as an adult human, do you have any idea how much force those things probably pack? Those bows would definitely be more than capable of piercing steel, easy, that's just a basic understanding of bows and archery in general Plus being set on an alien planet, it really doesn't take that much hand waving to just say the arrowheads are made out of a special material way harder and/or sharper than anything found on Earth, hell the unique, valuable, and powerful resources of Pandora are the sole reason humanity is even there in the first place

@@Azure_Iolite Those walkers are built with Human warfare in mind. Tank rounds. Rockets. Armour piercing bullets. Mines. Anything other than an arrow I guess... The battle should have gone the same way *"The Last Samurai"* did. I'm sure the Na'vi are terrific warriors in their own right. But when you put half naked Tribal warriors with bows and spears up against Armoured Vehicles, machine guns and missiles, the battle should have been a Na'vi massacre.

I had the same exact reaction to the audio that you had around 5:00. The audio really sounds so damn good, the rain storms sounds like you're actually in a rain storm and the sound occludes properly when going under stuff... Pretty sure I saw in the DF video that the game uses ray tracing audio and damn I really hope more games start using it.

When I went to ubisoft massive studios to check this out before launch, they showed us how the audio was made, and it blew my mind. I have a whole new level of respect for audio designers and their absolute quest for a perfect sounding game

At 8:19 Kev just unlocked a new, previously unknown level of vocal pitch with that "ouch"

I am glad that they reference Jake Sully in the beginning of the avatar game the new game takes place during the way of watar

They just removed the coolest feature from the original game which was being able to play as a human or as a Na'vi and getting alternative endings with your choice.

@@blueflare3848 It's more like a matter of choice (being able to pick a side) and point of view of the story, being able to fight at one of the sides that you identify yourself in the story. As an human you'd probably have a villain perspective of whats happening while killing and destroying everything on the fauna and as an Na'vi the standard story. It was really cool how both of the gameplay styles had different weapons and mounts on the first game, but Frontiers of Pandora is a Gold, it still a really REALLY good game! But i just missed this story feature, could made it even cooler at my point of view.

@@killtheheretics2915 The point of an Avatar game is to let you play as the Na’vi and explore Pandora. If you can’t even play as the creatures the whole series centers around, then at that point it shouldn’t even be an Avatar game. It might as well just be an original IP.

This is amazing. Great idea and execution.

the npc's in Ghost of Tsushima run at the same pace. I'd say give that one a try if u haven't already Kev.

It looks nice. The design of the landscape is clever, since the heavily forested areas look beautiful but there's less action there due to the framerate, and then they have big open areas where all the action takes place. Maybe it is just Far Cry, but I don't mind Far Cry once and a while if the setting is different enough.

I think it’s in the movies too. Humans can’t breath the atmosphere, but the blue bois can breath earth atmosphere for a few hours **i think**

Picked up Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on PS5 and man the graphics are absolutely stunning! It’s the first game since Horizon Forbidden West that has blown me, the world of Pandora is so lush, the natural environment, lighting is top notch. Flying around on the Ikran is a treat, Far Cry Primal is one of my all time favorite games and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora captures the vibe of that game perfectly. 😊😊😊

This game is pretty fun and I've enjoyed it alot because of the crafting, combat and hunting. Highly recommend this game if you feel like playing far cry primal with guns and blue people 😂
