I see people saying that ‘they didn’t attempt to make the Na’vi look realistic’ and instead made them look cartoonish and easy to empathise with (usually because they side with the humans in this story), but when you think about it, the Na’vi evolved with their natural environment without destroying it, leading to their ability to connect physically with the world around them. Their ears and noses are developed to sense the smallest sounds and smells when they are tracking and hunting, their large eyes allow them to see in low light, and their long limbs and hands/feet that can grip onto branches are perfect for climbing and moving around the forest, not to mention the tail for balance and the naturally occurring carbon fibre in their bones, leading to them being less likely to break if they fall from a great height- like from the trees they spend a lot of time in. There are also evolutionary differences that are visible in other clans of Na’vi like in the second movie. Anyways Idk I just find it cool to think about 😅

If you want to watch the second one for the channel you'll have to wait a bit for the home video version to come out, on the plus side you won't have to wait for 13 years like those who watched it back in 2009 (like me lol)

I really enjoyed your reaction to this movie! Watching the first one at the movie theater was incomparable to watching it at home on the small screen. I really think you should go and watch the second one now, otherwise you might really be missing out on a unique experience. You could post a short video on KZread with your thoughts on the movie right after you get back from watching it and then do a proper youtube reaction later on when it comes out on dvd or streaming. I'm sure your viewers will be understanding and not mind that it's not a blind reaction. If you're hesitant about it you could always put out a voting poll asking people what they would prefer. Regardless of what you do I'll be looking forward to it. I really enjoy your reactions as you are very genuine and chill.

maybe…i have another computer that has a bigger screen and i’ve been thinking about using it to watch stuff, just gotta figure out the setup :/

Glad you enjoyed it. Personally I never rated this movie that highly though. Watched it once when it came out, not again since. I felt It was effects over substance with the whole 3d thing. But actually I didnt rate the effects either, it didnt look real, looked clearly cgi. Like they didnt even attempt to make them look real, they clearly went for a cartoonish almost pixar look. And it was really tropey, basically perpetuating the whole ''peaceful natives/indigenous'' narrative. If you want a movie that shows the real 'native' experience, watch Apocalypto.
