In June 2008 a giant all-star ensemble embarked on a world tour to finally bring the legendary Metal Opera project "Avantasia" to the stage and write Heavy Metal History: For the first time an all-star project like this did not only get together in the studio to record an album, but set out on a full-fledged world tour.
Within a couple of weeks a band of musicians such as Tobias Sammet, Jorn Lande, Bob Catley, Andre Matos, Kai Hansen, Amanda Somerville and many more hit the stages around the globe to delight a total of more than 300,000 fans in Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Japan, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Germany and Hungary.
This Blu-Ray-set covers the first ever world tour of a "Metal Opera", that was originally intended to be just a studio project. A camera team has followed the flying circus everywhere around the globe, so that you can have a look behind the scenes, breathe the air on hte road and learn more about the organisation and all the madness that go along with an undertaking never seen before.

Amanda is phenomenal she is extremely versatile in all the different genres!! Her own albums she's put out are incredible!!
Amanda Somerville is a wonderful true Diva
It's sad that Amanda doesn't have many recorded live performances , she deserves better than this 💔
