AVALABETTA is a hill located on the bordering states of Karnataka and AndhraPradesh. This place is around 110 kms away from Bangalore. Because of it's beauty and serenity it is also called as "Nandi hills without the crowd".
If you are a nature lover, or an adventurer, or a biker or want to just have a pleasant time, this is a beautiful destination.It is a day's trip from Bangalore.
In Telugu language, AVAL means Cow. So it is also called as DHENUGIRI. There are interesting mythological stories about this hill as well the temples located here. Apart from Lord Narasimha Swamy and Goddess Lakshmi temples, there are serene ponds around.
The main attraction is the mesmerising travel route, the spectacular view from the hill top and the famous ROCK which stands almost unsupported from the main hill. You need to be extra careful when you attempt to climb and stand on that rock.
It was a great experience riding to Avalabetta and trekking upto the view point!
