Jock Marais ASMR I 100% agree. Pure pop was starting to become my favorite genre around 2010-2014 then it got bombarded with “pop trap” every pop artist trying to rap 🤦‍♀️ shit got bad annoying. Taylor’s 1989 album was the last pure pop album of this decade

This instrumental is very well put together. In the chorus, I still heard a bit of Ava, which gave it a nice echo effect, as if the singing was still in your head. Nice!

its the background vocals. instrumentals will have them mixed in so when the real vocals get recorded it helps the singer sync up to the song. Background vocals are usually done by upcoming or unknown singers working for the label but also the songwriter if he/she can sing they they'll use them or the original singer can also record their own background vocals. Bebe Rexha is a good example, now a days getting bigger a artist herself but started out as a songwriter with background vocals in other people's songs
