Same here. Except I actually bought the Alpine cable and hooked it up. Very little sound at high volume.

You need an amp

This prob has probably already been resolved but if not, I have the same exact head unit and tried doing the same thing.. Unfortunately it's not that simple, the remedy is the Alpine KCA-121B Auxiliary Input Adapter. This is roughly $15 at Crutchfield

Your Uggs illery cable is the blue wire hanging down from the right side of the back of the head unit there's two thick black wires one for the antenna and there's another black wire with a blue tip on it that's for the auxiliary you have to buy an axillary cord in order to make it work

It's the blue plug. You need the cable that fits into that socket and ends in a aux plug. There's one for the round hole next to the harness, but THAT'S NOT IT.

Try the setup menu the option aux might be turned off I have a similar model to yours and all alpine products are setup relatively the same

hello good! an adapter like that because I'm trying several things but nothing that fails I get if I prodrias facilicitar more about what you appreciate that adapter

you have to turn on your aux option in its menu my cda pioneer I hold the F button until the menu pops up then scroll over to it and turn aux on

you need a KCA-121B Ai-NET/RCA cord bro

yes master is for steering wheel, not for headphone..

+El Ivan Yeah It works. It does not play it through radio. Only downside is, it doesn't show you what song is playing on the head unit, which I didn't have a problem with anyways.

O just installed a alpine CDE-122 have all speakers to deck to factory amp then have RCA cables to my 1000w kenwood amp which is powering my alpine 12in type R sub , when radio is on i have sound to sub and speaker plug in aux and i get no speakers but i get sub only help!!!

Change the blue remote cables, One of them its only to control a external power antenna And the other is to control the amps

It's not a wiring issue. Is your power ic on? This causes your head unit to think the speakers are being powered by the amp as well so puts no output through the speaker outs in the wiring harness

aux is the big circle next to ur finger

take out charger to get sound out

i have this unit and first you have to turn on the aux option in your settings menu also you need the the cord that plugs into the blue colored input

that's thing that looks like a line-in headphone jack is for the steering wheel remote control interface connector, not line-in. Aux, Satellite Radio, HD-Radio, Bluetooth, Line-in are all AI-Net add-on modules for this head unit. +loudtowncar i have this headunit still in my car with the alpine ipod 30 pin adapter, new iphones dont work well with it (with a 30 to 8 pin adapter) so i will probably be buying that line in cable setup.

You're suppose 2 buy a different cord and plug it 2 the next 1 2 it's left.

+loudtowncar No problem. We all make mistakes and it's no big deal. I did the same thing with my CDM 9821. Everything is fine now. 2day this guy on FB was sellin his CDA 9853 (great condition) for $40. He posted up pictures and everything & said the only thing was wrong with it was that the aux didn't work. I messaged him tellin him that he needed 2 buy the right cord. He replied sayin it ok bc he's sellin it bc he upgraded and no need 4 it anymore. Of course I took it off his hands 4 $40. Great price. Next thing I need 2 do is order the aux cord and then I'm gonna hook it up.

My cd player crapped out on my CDA-9857 so I bought another one on Ebay that came with an external Alpine Ipod Interface (KCA-420i). So, I'm assuming that's what you need. I might not use mine, so let me know if you still need it.

Abraham Anguiano I have them, but which one are you talking about? The cord or the box? Honestly, I'm not sure what the difference is or which application you would need it in. I bought mine on Ebay. Stay away from aftermarket ones, only buy Alpine.

Make sure the Ai-NET switch is on the NORMAL setting... Switch is located on the base by the information tag

loudtowncar what are you taking about? The ai net adapter is needed. I have it, it's acting like it did when I first tried to plug in an aux cable into the steering wheel control.

It's the pins in the radio itself
