Many still do not understand what a phenomenon we are dealing with, his vocal abilities are incredible, but Dimash is much more than that. His attitude towards music, his vision, his style, his persona, his life, his personality and so many other things make him unique. I am sure that in the future, Dimash will be mentioned in the same way as, for example, Mozart and other geniuses. His work will remain the brightest point in world music history.

The Japanese version Ikanaide is also amazing! The area of the voice you love, is even better in the Ikanaide version, he changes register mid note on that performance. You will definitely love Ikanaide even more! Autumn Strong was the first time he sang in Mandarin and he learnt it phonetically in a week and he had to fly home mid week for a concert! Mandarin speakers/reactors say it was perfect…. Ikanaide was the first time Dimash sang in Japanese, that was also perfect apparently!

Yes! this is what I wanted to comment about also. The amazing ability to sing this in perfect Mandarin is one reason why some were crying and translations are off in this, but the song is incredibly personal to the Chinese people. He hit them emotionally very hard with this- the camera shows a competitor near tears they were so moved. The more recent performance for the Tokyo Jazz Festival of Ikanaide was surpassing Autumn Strong for certain.

Yes, this! Griever, please look up his performance of Ikanaide at the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Autumn Strong is the Chinese version of the Japanese song (original) and seeing and hearing Dimash in studio is a whole other experience. It's an extremely well done video in terms of camera work and audio and the studio microphone is amazing. I'd also suggest you look up the song and the true story behind it as it really adds to the appreciation of Dimash's exquisite emotional expression.

Ikanaide is my favorite as well. Dimash seems to immerse himself totally in his music. If you notice, like at the beginning of this one, he seems to prepare himself mentally and emotionally before he sings the first note. Then when he is finished, he has to come back down to earth. Even the Japanese reactors were amazed at how perfect his Japanese was during that song.

Gloria Wu puts out these videos with the back stories from the show. She has them translated and subtitled. This song it is worth watching and the video with translation is included. She has a great channel and does it for a lot of videos and doesn't mind them being used, of course it's not her copyright either. Anyway Dimash explains why this song, they explain the meaning behind the song and why it was written. It's also the first time he sang in Chinese which is why the audience reacted the way they did to his first line. It's pretty cool. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIyFl5qOXajKlMo.html if your interested 😎

Like others have recommended, you must listen to “Ikanaide”, same song, in Japanese, an improved version (yes it is possible!), where he really shows incredible control and emotions. Dimash’s singing has been known to heal people, are you feeling better?? This song has been my constant companion during a recent difficult divorce; it is so soothing! I am very glad that you plan on continuing your Dimash journey!

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Another great reaction and analysis of my very favorite vocalist. This brings back memories of when I first heard this four years ago. It's absolutely stunning. You mentioned the young girl in the audience crying. Near the end of the performance, if you look closely, there's a scene from backstage where you see one of the other contestants (the guy with the long hair) kind of nodding his head and appearing to say "good job". To his left you'll see a woman in a white top facing the wall and Jam (another contestant) tapping her on the shoulder. Apparently she was so moved by Dimash's performance and so emotional that she removed herself from the group and Jam was checking on her to make sure she was ok. Such a sweet gesture. (He and Dimash became very good friends because of this competition. )

Hi Jim, I really appreciate your reactions on Dimash; reactions that show your sensitivity and sincerity of mind when you listen to the enormous skill of this guy: an alien, as described by many people. I am 70 years old and I can say with absolute certainty that I have never (and I repeat never) heard anyone sing like Dimash. His vocal range, his enormous technical skills, his great breath control skills and above all his stage presence, make Dimash an incomparable artist! Also I, like you, when I listened to this song I chose it as my favorite, also because I knew the true story of this song (this is the link of the video with the story behind this song : (kzread.info/dash/bejne/eIyFl5qOXajKlMo.html). Then I saw the video of "Olimpico" and I changed my mind, then I saw the video of "Sinful Passion" and I changed my mind again! Whenever I saw another video, I always changed my opinion on my favorite song! But the amazing thing is that now I don't want to hear anyone else sing anymore; I'm diseased of "Dimashite"! You will see that it will happen to you too: when after watching a new video of Dimash, you believe that you have known the qualities of him singing, you will be amazed to see the next video. Welcome to "Dimashland".

I guess you didn't see my comment suggesting you check out Gloria Wu's KZread channel (G Wu). See her intro to this song for the back story, which might explain the audience emotions (plus he was singing in Chinese for the first time in the competition). It helps to use her videos for Ep#7 "Daididau", for the Eng. subs and the back story in the intro, and also Ep#8, "Daybreak", which tells the tragic background story to the song, shows him talking to the songwriter, and goes into the extra drama caused by Dimash losing his voice the day before he had to sing, and getting injections to his throat. Use the "cc" button for her intros to see what he is saying.

Singing in Mandarin to a Chinese audience had to be so challenging that he was wise to keep the singing subtle. The music was written by a Japanese composer, and the lyrics were so different that when Dimash sang for his first time in Japanese, he modified the arrangement. You'll love to hear that more recent version, too: "Ikanaide." You could either show it soon to compare the two or finish your journey through "The Singer" first. I've heard Chinese and Japanese reactors respond to the versions, and they all felt he did an amazing job pronouncing their languages. You have a long repertoire ahead of you and amazingly his voice, range, and vocal control keep getting better.

If you like to do an excursion from the chronological road down the Singer performances, Dimash has re-recorded this song recently with the original Japanese lyrics in a live-streamed studio version for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. That version is probably even more beautiful, the interpretation more mature and intense. Hard to believe that this is even possible, but listen to yourself.

  • @MsLucy4ever

Another thing that adds weight to this performance is that this was the first time he sang in Mandarin. There are some videos showing him practicing the lyrics with a native speaker coach, struggling with the vowels, and it's a credit to his determination and courage that he managed to learn it in a week. A Chinese reactor when watching this, said " I almost forgot that he is not Chinese, his pronunciation was almost perfect". The song is sad, but I think that for the audience, it was also emotional to listen him in their own language , I love this song. Some people prefer the original Ikanaide, in Japanese, but this one and the Kiev concert's ones are my favorite versions.

I’m with you - I love Dimash in this register - this has to be one of my all time fave performances. He performs this in concert and sings without a microphone in the end which is amazing - link below. Autumn Strong Arnau concert m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zmdrq6esdKzAlqg.html FYI This is originally a Japanese song but Dimash sang it in Chinese on The Singer so, yes, he was definitely concentrating to deliver to the Chinese audience - I believe they voted him in third place. FYI Dimash performed the Japanese version - in Japanese - titled “Ikanaide” (please don’t go) which was live streamed during the 20th Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. This is the original song and was composed by Goro Matsui together with Koji Tamaki in 1989. Koji’s performance is a classic. I recommend a double reaction of one song with two different versions: Know (ascolta la voce) from Sochi New wave 2019 and Know vocalise from his Arnau tour. Fantastic song, amazing vocals and atmosphere. One of my absolutely favorites by him, or anyone. That song is so beautiful, written by Igor Krutoi. And the band in the Arnau tour performance is also fantastic, fully committed to the art. Beautiful.

Hope you feel better soon. I can't listen to SOS without crying. He knows the story, feels the story, takes the audience on an adventure. Autumn Strong / Ikanaide does the same thing. Sure... he's got one of the best voices in the world. But as a performer and a person he's so much more than that.

Saluti from Italy 🇮🇹

React to Ikanaide (the original version of this song in Japanese) by Dimash which he performed recently. I know it’s the same melody but you can see the big improvement of the way he sings from then to now. The breathy tone that you like is even more prominent and skilfully executed in Ikanaide.

Yes,this song is incredible beautiful and Dimash performance is second to none...impossible to match...When I heard this song for the first time I was too impressed and I thought, we are facing a unique phenomenon in the world and when I could see so many people crying with emotion as well as other motionless participants of the impression, I knew that I was facing the greatest that I have been able to listen in 50 years that I have been listening to music of all genres and countries.

He has done this song more over the years and you can note his increased maturity and more dynamics where some of the parts of the song are softer or not in operatic belt but rather in a tender contemporary voice. Just gorgeous. The version in a concert where he is dressed in red is more pulled back and brings tears to my eyes. And his version of this song in Japanese, Ikanaide, (just him in front of a mike in a studio) for the Tokyo Jazz Festival is gorgeous. Crying can not be avoided. The song is very repetitive, but how he sings all the lines and verses in different tones, registers and emotional intensity make it a true gem.

The heart sounds you heard is there before every song for every artist in this show. This was his first Chinese song in Chinese he ever singed! He learnde this in less then 1 week so he was verry nerves about it if they could understand him! This was so mutch more then he JUST singing becouse of that he learnd this to thank the Chinese people for al theree eworm welcome ttowards him becouse it was the first Chinese song for him!!! Also this is the chinese version of the Japanese original song "Ikanaide"! They have a bit different lyrics for this but they are both so good. He also sung the Japanese verrsion in Tokyo jazzfeastival. That was his first Japanes singing song!!!! Here are the hole list and episodes he did! Episode 1 : 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' (A Soul's Plea For Help) In French. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXery7yddt2cY9o.html Episode 2 :'Opera 2' in Russian! The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful. kzread.info/dash/bejne/moSep7eogMqTkco.html Episode 3 : 'The Show Must Go On' In English You have never heard it like this! kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZIRss9uwo7W4qrQ.html Episode 4 : 'Late Autumn' In Mandarin!!! He learned this song in 1 week in mandarin to thank the warm welcome from the Chinese people. Gloria Wu's channel has back-story on what the song is about. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d5N_rNWHY8qdlaQ.html Episode 5 : 'Uptown Funk' In English. Not his best but I love this song and his attempt on a fast song with lots of energy. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dnaLwayvmtzMiNY.html Episode 6 : 'Adagio' In English and also playing piano kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWSGo7OyqZOef9Y.html Episode 7 : 'Daididau' In Kazakh and some parts in Chinese. He also plays Dumbra. kzread.info/dash/bejne/h5qekqdvhduxkZM.html Episode 8 : 'Daybreak' (Tiān liàng le- Han Hong original artist and writing it!) In Chinese! This is the one reaction I think you should do from 2 different versions do to following... Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon! kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4x7qJmvl6i_e84.html The other one is from his own show in Bastau the same year. Hear you can see what he can do with the song. Fun to know which you like more. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZJ-OtqyjfNKqZpc.html Episode 9 : 'All by Myself' In English and you haven’t heard it like this! Wait to the end for some extra fun! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqNlj9StgMy6YtY.html Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iXWslM6Ng6WXgKw.html From the concert in GAKKU you will be stund!! He sings it a bit different to say the least!!! Would be fun see what you think of that one too. Dimash Qudaibergen - Unforgettible day GAKKU kzread.info/dash/bejne/p2lmuqainMmcYps.html Episode 11 : (did not participate) He was already a finalist. Episode 12 : 'Confessa & The Diva Dance Confessa in Mandarin/Italian and the Diva dance come from the movie 5th element!!! If you haven’t heard of that one it’s done in a computer because it was too hard for a human to sing!! Well not now when we have Dimash! kzread.info/dash/bejne/m46NqctsZpveoLA.html Later in his own shows he sings it a bit different to. I think one is from the Bastau concert. His consorts are about 2, 5-3 hours long and I think he did this song towards the end of it. DIVA DANCE - Dimash Kudaibergen ( The world best singer ) From Bastau kzread.info/dash/bejne/oWmur9ephbLNgdI.html Episode 13 : 'Tribute to MJ' several songs in English and also playing Drums and a singing partner to also some children that sings a bit. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYiFrI-cj73HZ9Y.html He didn’t win the competion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people. Episode 14 Gala for raising money to the environment: 'Give Me Love' In Kazakh. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZXVlttxtaLabqKg.html The singer 2018 gala "Hello"- Lionel Richie Wait to the end to hear something fun and different! The sybyzgy is a Kazakh sideblown flute traditionally played by shepherds and horse herders, made from apricot wood or the wood of mountain bushes. Length 600-650 mm.
