This drive runs up Route 100 and 30 from Ludlow to Manchester, Vermont through the scenic Green Mountains under the back drop of Okemo Mountain, a must visit Vermont Ski Resort. Much of the The exquisite foliage colors light up the road, the mountains, and the fields and showcases why Vermont is THE state to experience Autumn.
The foliage of the Green Mountains in Vermont draws leaf peepers from around New England, the northeast, and the United States. Wonderful! When I was teaching at Middlebury College 2000-2015, I would often take a long drive Saturday mornings through Vermont or into the Adirondacks. One of my favorite trips was to scoot over to Route 100 in Hancock, and then follow it down to Londonderry where I would down switch to Route 11, and then onto Route 30 Into Manchester, to stop for lunch at the Depot Cafe Restaurant. I would then circle back to Middlebury, heading north on Route 30. I can’t do this again, but watching this evoked many memories. Thank you for sharing!

Oops, you didn’t drive into Manchester, but turned north on Route 7. But that’s fine, since it fits your promise to show a scenic route. Again, thanks for screening. I will be back.

I love these memories of Vermont. I've done those roads a number of times over the years in every season. Every time I say "this is the prettiest season"

This was actually my last one from last year. This was late September about halfway up the state. You'll be a little further north so you might get some foliage but mostly green
