Eneroth has a ton of useful extensions. All should be checked for your personal usage. Some are pay, others free. Her texture position extension has a permanent place on my top row for rotating textures 90' with 1 click. She is up there with Fredo and a few others.

great video! but i have a question, what is the difference between eneroth face and make face? can someone explain it? because currently I'm using make face but still don't know how to use it. thankyou in advance!

It looked great, however when I used it on a DWG file the architect I work with gave me it made surfaces on just about everything except for the walls, which is what I need. I tried doing a limited selection, just a short wall section and it didn't work. Again it made surfaces on lots of things but not the wall. Could be the way the DWG was created or saved? Great video and I always watch to see what is new out there. Also, I have been having a LOT of crashes when closing files in SketchUp 2023, have you heard anything like that?? What I have to do is Save - Then close.

I've used this plugin a lot. Unfortunately, it's just not perfect so you'll have issues like that. It helps speed up my work significantly though.

can you create faces in web version?

Yes, but you can't use extensions - you have to do it manually

I have a question. It's one that I've had ever since SketchUp was introduced. Why the hell doesn't SU just add that make face functionality into their software so we don't have to go out and find an extension? For the price they are making us pay you would think they would have done that by now. I'm so sick and tired of having to rely on extensions for SU that all other 3D modeling programs fundamentally have build into their tools. I'm sick and tired of having my SU workspace littered with tons of extension tools. SketchUp really is an exercise in frustration and workarounds.

I can't really speak to why or why SketchUp doesn't do something, but in this case I would assume it's because it's a bit of a niche use case. Most of the time you don't WANT SketchUp to go add faces everywhere it could - it would just create a huge mess. Also...people throw out "all other 3D modeling programs have "x" thing I want" a lot, and I find it's rarely true. Doing something like this in Blender, for example, isn't always simple at all. BTW - I personally unload extensions when I'm not using them so they don't clutter my workspace, and just load them when needed.
