In this video, we discuss why there's been a recent shift in buying trends towards automatic Mazda Miatas. While the first and second generations had over 90% manual sales, Mazda predicts that around half of their fourth-generation Miatas will be sold with a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission. However, we take a closer look at how this automatic transmission performs when paired with Mazda's 2.0l skyactive engine that produces 155hp, and the results may not be satisfactory.
