many videos like this doesn't fix mine and found out the easiest solution 😅, JUST PRESS F11 for boot menu and choose the drive where your os installed and then boom! problem solved.

Omgggg thank you so much. I watched so many videos and NOTHING worked. I had given up hope and was about to factory reset my laptop because nothing worked. I came across this video and did everything you suggested and it worked. I was so afraid of loosing all of my important files. Guess what I just backed up and made copies of all of my files in case this ever happened again. Thank you a million times for your help.

This didn't work for me. I ended up shutting down my PC and taking out my recently purchased SSD (~one month old). I turned it on (without my SSD installed) and I hit F11 to go into the boot menu. I didn't change anything, so I simply exited the boot menu, and it just went back to the Automatic Repair screen, so I shut it down again. Still frustrated, I installed the SSD and booted it up. To my surprise Windows went through more updates and Windows magically started working again. I've got all my files, and everything seems to be working properly. I'm not sure why this worked but good luck to you!

bro when i do that chkdsk /f /r c: it tells me impossible to open the volume in a direct acces ... and i have a new ssd i named it JUST ssd with a single partition so when i searched some where about the name like C OR D i found that it called X so i did that chkdsk /f /r X: so it told me : the type of the systems folder is NTFS . impossible to unlock the lecteur mainly .windows cannot execute the disk verification in this volume because it is protected in ecriture ..... pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease answer me

Okay here's my situation. I had too much data on the computer. But first what happened was the computer began to run slow when I was using a screen recording software. Seemed like It was freezing however I could still turn off programs but it was going super slow. All that I was recording something for an hour. I had turned on that computer which was a laptop with Windows 11. I started recording something. Now that computer doesn't have anything other than video files and the minimal programs. It already had issues when it got repaired and some malfunction happened on installing the operating system as the company set it up for me to finish the setup. Bottom line I got out of it using this check disk and other command prompts commands and was able to bring back the operating system. Flash forward to today when the computer began freezing there was no way to power it down correctly or to unfreeze it. Maybe I should have researched on what to do at that point with unfreezing the computer but I mean it virtually it was dying on me. I was able to save what I recorded, turn off the programs but then like I said it would not power down. On top of that I did alt control delete and nothing happened. Everything was too a crawl. I started thinking I'm going to have to do a hard reboot. How else am I getting out of here. After doing that I got the blue screen of death and sent to the troubleshooting area upon reboot. The automatic repair failed, The system restore tried and failed. I went back to command prompt. I'm just learning what the check disk commands can do. I should have just done it with the /f first and then done it again with /r. The fact is I found this video and did it the way the person on here showed us Here's where the rubber meets the road.... It's going to take hours to finish. It's basically stuck on step 4. I just saw a video from ask Leo explaining what the f command and the r command do on check disk. It's very intensive and I got both of them running so this is definitely is going to take a long time. Last time it did not take a long time because I did the r command and the f command differently and separately. Now the last time was a month ago. Not too confuse anybody but this time the issue is that the computer was freezing and super slow to use and unable to turn off using the power command. Strictly focusing on this particular issue, I do have a lot of data on the computer mostly from recording things. But the f command only checks the data. The r command will check the entire hard drive. With both commands running like the guy in this video made us do this is going to take a long time. It's probably doing two different things at the same time since we put both commands. So therefore I'm stuck there. I'll post an update later on.

After I entered bootrec /rebuildbcd it found windows installation and offered me to add installation to boot list i entered Y but then it comes up with cannot create a file that already exists. Is it a problem?

"The Fix Boot File Corruptions" helped me open my Pc from the restart loop! Thank you sir!

I type chkdsk /f /r c: then i see 'the type of the filesystem is raw. CHKDSK is not available for raw drives.

Doesn't work for me :( Edit. Fixed for me by disabling secure boot. It happened after I was playing with different AMD driver versions

U r windows is crashed... U need to create bootable usb drive of u r choice of windows version. .windows 10 pro( recommended).. then clean install it again by chaging some bios. Settings and ur done

My laptop froze mid update and I also forgot my password for the account on it. I tried Microsoft support but not much help there.

At first it worked, then after turning off the computer, the blue screen comes back as before, what should I do about it?

After filling all command prompt and exit continue windows 10 still restarting frequently does not open

when i type chkdsk /f /r c: - it prompts the type of the file system is raw. Chkdsk is not available for RAW drives. - What to do?

For going to command prompt -- it is showing-- you need to sign in as an administrator to continue but there are not any administrator accounts on this PC
