Fantastic. This surely makes things a lot easier and faster as corners has always been the most tedious part of taping. I ended up here because I was just looking at these on Amazon and thinking of buying this tool.

How many passes do you need with your inside corners? When doing it manually I usually do 2 passes.

Noticed your using paper tape in the corners and on another video you used fiber fuse on the flats what is your preference and what would you say is better, good informative video thanks new to automatic taping and flat boxes just got my first set thanks in advance

Great question! It's completely up to the preference of the individual finisher. Fibafuse is a little thicker so you would need to push the gooser needle back some to adjust for the extra thickness.

I just got my set of these taper system. It works great and really fast I just have a difficulty to do the ceiling corners, especially at the starting place, the tape just keep falling off before I got to the other side of the corner and it pulls down the whole thing. I know practice will help but do you have any tips? I keep the drag very loose!

Question : the mud I'm using is normally 90min open, do I have to clean the applicator between filling again

  • @LEVEL5Tools

We recommend against using hot mud with our automatic taping tools as it voids the warranty. However, if you do use hot mud then we highly recommend a full clean between each use.

@@LEVEL5Toolsthe base coat we use is normally a 60 minute lifespan so the tool would require a complete clean every hour what are you using to on these machines and how long is the drying time before you recoat them . We use two coats of base coat that takes approximately one hour to dry between coats and a topping compound of some sort that requires a day to dry before sanding

Great question! We're wondering if your blade is not in all the way? Or are you using another brand's blades which are a little longer than ours? This would cause the tip the hit the sprocket and break.

@@gamefleitipon8527 yeah, its because we made the cut while moving the taper, so when we wanted to make the cut we stoped the cut, its takes a while to get the mechanics since its all in movement and you Anna go fast, but its just that. stop cut keep going.

After watching this I'm shocked that more drywall guys don't use these tools. It's like everyone is still using a manual screwdriver when there's cordless.

It's all a process! These tools have been around for a while but thanks to R&D in recent years they're better and more reliable than ever. Just like most things, there's a bit of a learning curve. These videos are meant to help finishers learn how to use these tools so that their work can be faster and more profitable.
