I want to power a DC load (less than 50A) from two DC input sources. When DC source A (primary) is available, there will also be a 230V power source to compliment it. If I supply the 230V AC to the Control terminals (AR + AN), will that be enough to make this ATS function? Basically what I am asking is two fold: 1) Does the control wiring have to be linked to the power wiring, or can the power wiring switch DC loads?, and: 2) Is the secondary control wiring necessary to connect, or will the switch function normally with just the primary control wiring? Any advice will be appreciated :D

I wired mine exactly as you have shown however my ATS will not automatically switch over from source B to Source A but will work properly to transfer from A to B. Would you happen to know what could be wrong?

@nunuus1 It just started working properly. If I turn off the inverter source B off and then switch the main power back on it will now switch back to source A automatically. I don't know why it just started working. I have been adding solar panels and messing around with the wiring a little but still confused why it started working.

I'm thinking of putting a relay between AR/AN connections wherein it will not switch back to Source A until Source B is still on. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

Yes. And solar generators. Top of the box is priority, so it can be solar priority if you but it in top connections.
