The highly automated precast hollow core plant built by Elematic for Contiga, nowadays Heidelberg Materials Prefab Norge. The plant, located in Askøy, Norway, has only 13 employees, with 10 operators working at a time during normal production (180 000m2). The plant has 4 beds of 132 m in length each, giving a maximum production capacity of 240 000 m2 per year.
The plant is equipped with the latest automated precast hollow production technology from Elematic, including a batching and mixing plant, extruder E9 for casting, modifier E9 for automatic digging of holes, saw E9, stresser E9, concrete transportation system, Elematic Plant Control precast software for production management.
The video introduces the plant and its precast manufacturing operations with an interview with Hilde Flogstad, Contiga's Technical Director Precast, and Ove Sandvin, Technical Advisor. Contiga is a part of Heidelberg Cement.
