I ultrasonically clean dpf`s for a living, and imho something very important info is missing here , : a lot of cars of the psa group use a fuel additive called eolys to lower the ignition temperature of the soot, this eolys burns to ash, this ash stays in the dpf reducing the volume of the dpf, that is why psa group cars always need to replace or clean the dpf at certain intervalls . this eolys ash has a typical red/pink color and can be observed on the bottom of the tank after ultrasonic cleaning.

vauxhalls used to flash the MIL when the car was doing an active regen, but they have removed this feature because people used to be forever taking their cars into the garages thinking there was a fault because they couldn't be bothered to look up what the flashing MIL meant in the manual.

I have a 2010 Jetta TDI Cup edition here in the States. at 92k miles a P401 code came up and the VW dealer without more diagnosis declared I needed a new DPF. I found a 2 month old DPF at a small shop with what was claimed to have only 1500 miles on it. after only a year I got the same P401 code again. Do you suspect a bad initial diagnosis? I spend 45 minutes a day on the highway so regens do occur on a regular basis. also, do you sell products for USA?

+peter sachs I would say you need major engine work. I'm in Australia and I deal with euro cars I have seen VW cars soot up I just cleaned one out from the EGR valve all the way down to the intake valves. So with major engine work I mean pulling the whole intake system off and cleaning it. I would also crimp the vac hose to the EGR valve or at least put a electronic boost gauge on the line to control the solenoid. You don't want to completely prevent the EGR system from working as it will throw a code.

17:41 Nothing worse than a master tech preaching from a script. Nothing to see here unless you are a Klarius distributor! 2 crack heads. LOL.

i notice they didn't show the struggle involved to get the junk to fit anywhere near properly. Klarius was the Roman God of things that don't fit. Utter garbage..
