hello. I get the message: Surface error. Do you know the reason? I EXPORTED THE MODEL FROM SKETCHUP. AND TWO OTHERS I HAVE TRIED WORKED WELL. BUT THESE NEW GEOMETRIES DON'T WORK FOR ME.

Hi Mr Chee.Would you mind helping me in cfd simulation for a rotary stainless steel drum filled 30% of internal volume by water at the bottom and coverd by molten sulfur at external surface to be cooled by inner water(solidification)?

Hi. So I'm working on using CFD for measuring lift and drag of an airfoil. However I couldn't figure out how to make the box around the foil for the external flow. I'm new to this software and really need help ASAP. Thanks

Hi. Does autodesk provide tutorial for flow simulation? I really want to learn about it. I ever used Ansys Fluent but it takes ages to run transient simulation. I just want to visualize my oven design with convection fan. Thanks

transient simulation may not working in Autodesk CFD, so if you are looking for transient, I will still recommend FLUENT.

Transient simulations are possible with Autodesk Cfd. See in Solver options

most probably you set the boundary condition incorrect in that case. Check the BC properly especially the direction of the flow

2019 version can't read file from 2022, however, backward is possible but depend on the file type.

Can you know the lifting force of the wing?

  • @ir.ts.dr.alexanderchee3059

you can turn your result to Pressure and observe it on the bottom surface, then use iProperties to investigate the surface area. Pressure = Force/Area, then you may have the lift force. Kind of a "manual" work

@@ir.ts.dr.alexanderchee3059 so there is no way of it calculating it for you. I have made a some what complex wing and only have rough estimates of the lift it produces. Was hoping the CFD would give more accurate results.

Hello, nice video. I’m trying to do a similar analysis on an aircraft wing. I created a box using solidworks with glass material around the wing and import the Solidworks assembly into Autodesk CFD. The problem i’m having is, the puter box does not turn into transparent or become an outline when I select either of the two options. This is causing my simulation to be made only on the outer box. I trued this both as importing it as an assembly and also a step file. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for watching. In your setting under Geometry Tools, have you selected "Ext Volume" instead of "Void fill"? Try to watch my tutorial video on External Flow setup.
