Thank you for this. I've been using AutoCAD and other CAD programs since 1988, and suddenly I was unable to do a simple move command. And (as usual) the Autodesk help functions were worthless. I've changed the default settings to the ones you outline, and now it behaves properly. I much appreciate your efforts here.

I find this AutoCAD sort of complicated - lots of "unnecessary" obstacles. Do you know anything about Solidworks, or any other that you'd advise?
