Hello, the problem I am experiencing with hatch is that when i create the hatch, i get the 'create hatch' ribbon but when click on the hatch, it doesn't show the 'edit hatch' ribbon. Another problem i am experiencing is that when I hatch something, the hatch and the hatch boundary become one entity so i cant delete just the hatch or delete just the boundary. I could not find a related tutorial or solutions

Hi! Your tutorial was amazing. I have a question. Is it possible to print in PDF solid transparent hatches as vectors? Sometimes when I have an elevation I put some transparent sold hatches and when I am about to print it I use the ''plot transparency'' command but the problem is when I click ctrl+P to print it from dwg to pdf, it takes A very long time to print, and even if the quality is only 100 DPI, the PDF file is always heavy (LIKE 20 MB) is there any solution to this?

  • @LazyArquitecto

hi Shazz, what I would do is check if you have a CTB or plot-style that is corrupted. OPTION command and set profile to default (the original that came with Autocad) this will change paths and if when you press CTRL+P is faster, then corrupted ctb is the problem

Hey Luis, is it possible to fill a poly line (for example) filling 2x10 joists that cross over a girder with background color so in plan view it hides the beam the joists rest on. I’m thinking maybe there a variable for filling closed poly’s solid with background color. Thanks, Doug

@@LazyArquitecto Sorry, yes you did, my bad. I was referring to the HPGAPTOL variable in particular. However, I suppose this question could apply to any variable. By changing a variable mid stream into a drawing, does it affect the way entities already drawn appear/behave etc.. For instance, during a REGEN, will changing from 0 to 1 in any variable, will a like item already within drawing and it's variable when drawn was set to 0, will it change that item or all like items to 1 when we do a REGEN or when reopening the drawing. Typically I don't change variables once I've started a drawing, or I change them as I go BUT prior to drawing something it will affect / not already drawn. Or does it affect only those entities drawn after changing variable. Jeeeezzzz, that was a mouth full. Hope it's clear what I'm asking.

Another Question, in the top left corner where it has the custom views, {TOP}, 2D, WIREFRAME etc., mine is not showing unless I park the cross hair over it. With the cross hair over it it appears...It used to show all the time. Is there a variable I may have inadvertently changed? I checked in Options >3D Modeling tab> Display Tools in Viewport "it is checked". (AutoCAD 2022). Thanks for any suggestions.
