Hey there, have you ever thought about taking a look into the DS games? The DS versions for the first movie game had a custom character which a bunch of different vehicle modes, some of which appear to have not made it into the game like the Dead End skin. There are also the WFC DS games that may or may not have cut characters like Bluestreak and Fireflight in the game. Just something that could be worth looking into. Anyway great video!

One thing I don’t see a lot of people talking about is how the cement drone actually has eight wheels instead of the proper six in robot mode(the extra two are seen inside the chest which can be seen at 42:10) I dunno if it was intentional or one of the many oversights that this game seems to be infinitely plagued with but if the later it’s a pretty big one considering it’s fully modeled and everything

maybe one pair of these wheels comes from the back half of the cement mixer, considering trucks often have double tires on the reer wheels

Wonder if Activision really made an animation model for the drones when they crash-landed as meteors.

I'm starting to see why the Autobots drones have faceplate because they're trying to be like knights or soldiers but to the Decepticon drones they have a singular eye which I'm guessing they must be clones and the only Decepticon with a singular eye is Shockwave and I bet he cloned the drones for Megatron's Army

Don't get me wrong, this is great, but I'd love to see some side-by-side comparisons with the decepticon drones or the original drone designs where appropriate.

You know something, the mechanic for the 07 game is a fighting combo style. So how come Rotf and Dotm got rid of this mechanic and traded it for a 3rd person shooter instead?

Devastation is honestly a game that has never really interested me so I don't think a series on it is very likely.

All these guys would be really cool to see in Studio Series Gamer Edition (too bad that it’ll probably take a millennium for them to finish any of the games.)

Man, these turnarounds/showcase for the drone characters are awesome. I understand it’s a bit more of a difficult game to mod for, but have you ever considered doing the same for some of the RotF Game generics?

Unfortunately ROTF is a bit more limited with what you can do as a majority of the AI characters lack .str files to be swapped over. There are still some like the Combaticons you can play as, but again it is still rather limited.

@@Barricade24 Ah yeah that’s what I figured. RotF seems to be a lot harder to extensively mod in general from what I’ve gathered. Appreciate the answer!

So which drones are the better looking ones for you ? Autobots or Decepticons ?

They both share the same drone body type, with the exception of the colors being switched around and the different insignia that denotes the faction they come from. However, the most notable difference is the head design. As the Autobot drones appear to have faces that have a mouth guard that covers their lower jaw, similar to Optimus Prime. While the Decepticon drones seem to have a singular optical lens that take up their face, almost as if it was acting as a camera to scan/record/analyze to transmit to Decepticon command. It bares a bit of resemblance to Shockwave.

I'm personally more partial to the Decepticon Drones. There is just something iconic about the singular lens design and Decepticon color schemes that have always resonated with me more than the Autobot decos.

Those will all be remastered versions of unplayable characters. Starting with Shockwave.

Unlike Fall, war etc. This was game was never on Steam at any point in time. The game was only ever sold on discs back in the day. What can be found (legally) on ebay and that. T
