Thank you so much for taking the time to make all these videos. May God protect and bless you and all the members of your family. I am mother to a 4-year-old boy who is autistic. I had been going in and out of therapies since he was 18 months. This past February, I decided to take charge of his therapies and do it "myself" (by managing myself what therapies he is or not having), because of many unfortunate situations. I have no doubts in my mind that your channel "showed up" in the right time for me and my family! Thank you, sincerely.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video and the work that you do! I'm an Autistic junior in college studying to become an SLP and work with kids with disabilities. You are such an inspiration to me in your demeanor and your approach. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to watch someone talk about treating Autism from this perspective. It's obvious that your main priority is giving your clients the tools they need to gain autonomy and power rather than trying to force them to confirm to your idea of "normal". I love the empathy that you show by inviting neurotypical people to look at various aspects of the situation from our shoes and treat us how you would expect to be treated. It should be obvious, but so often it seems like there's a different set of standards for educating (or, as I often hear, "training") people with disabilities, and I can't thank you enough for using your platform to dispel that idea. You're clearly committed to treating your clients with the dignity they deserve. My favorite part of the video was when you talked about needing to give children the ability to advocate for themselves and say "NO". It seems like often what's trained into kids with disabilities (autism in particular) is that we always need to be agreeable and say what the parent/teacher/therapist wants to hear. I'm SO grateful to you for reminding the community that we deserve to learn that we have choices, and we deserve to learn how to advocate for themselves. An autistic child who can't say "no" or "leave me alone" becomes an autistic adult who can't say those things either. Teaching us these skills early on, and teaching us, as you do your clients, that ANY form of communication deserves to be heard and respected, protects us from abuse and manipulation in childhood and adulthood. I hope more SLPs and other therapists watch your videos and adopt your approach. The difference you're making in the lives of these kids is immeasurable. Sending lots of love and good vibes your way!
