Yes. It really is, and my granddaughter was diagnosed at 2yrs. She has been getting therapy every since. She will be 3 yrs in a few months, and has made so much progress. She’s not non verbal but vocabulary is somewhat limited.

Thank you for spreading awareness and sharing your family with us. More families and friends with loved ones on the spectrum need this kind awareness to be shared. Sending you and your family well wishes!

Our great niece has it too. Our niece worked with her since birth with her other 2 ( she was blessed with triples). She is very smart and tells you at the age of 7 she is normal but slow with her Austium if you don't want to play with her fine. Smh I love her hand on the hip and her sisters stand up for her too. The oldest of them is a mother hen. Good luck with your daughter and don't pay attention to people who don't know there butt from butt hole. As long as her family loves her that is what counts. God bless

Continue spreading Autism Awareness!! Our 2 year old daughter has a similar story and is being tested for Autism in January, all of her therapist and neurologist feel strongly she is.

Stop all screen time and give time to your kids by playing with them and taking them out

I don't understand why people would say you're faking the diagnosis. What purpose would that serve? I'm sorry you have to deal with ignorant people and I'm sorry your whole family struggles with an autism diagnosis. My son is 16 and is on the spectrum. He has severe sensory processing disorder issues and it can all be very overwhelming.

My granddaughter was hitting all her progress targets till she had the last mmr jab....she was diagnosed as non-talking with global delay when aged 4. She is now 7, in mainstream school and babbles away. Its amazing how much she knows, conveys in her own way to her teachers and family. When she is having a meltdown and people stare i think to myself would you cope??

When Autism awareness is widely spread, we are educated. We must find out what causes Autism and make sure affected children get the proper care. Support for parents is critical as well. These videos can only help.

My son used to hand flap like that at 2 he got a diagnosis of autism at 4 I know exactly what your going through its tough when they don't say much good diet plenty exercise ,speech therapy ,augmentive communication and swimming really helped us ,and buy your sweet little Maddison a dog or pet to play with cos Animals instinctively know how to bring an Autistic child or adult out of their shell very quickly and animals especially dogs are a great way to teach Eye Contact and gross motor skills💯

Have you had her tested to she if she is intellectually delayed. There is a difference between autism and intellectually delayed.. some of the symptoms and stims are identical, but people with autism have average to above average IQs. It might be worth checking into, because the therapy and treatment is not the same.

My daughter is very smart. Taught herself to swim at 2. She just doesn’t speak yet.

@@Oh_Maddy I'm glad she can swim. That's a plus because it's one of the leading causes of death among children under 5. I don't know if that measures intellect, because I know many intelligent people who can't swim at all, but it's still a plus.

@@GroundhogBaby You need to watch “fathering autism” before you spread false information about avg to above avg IQs. Low IQ is also found in autism.

Question? I know she stims but does she have tics and twitches? I guess they’re all different.
