This is amazing ❤! I have a huge issue with my son who is also Autistic getting haircuts or anything to do with touching his hair. I had to cut his hair because his beautiful ginger curls got so matted. He fought me and I had to finish his haircut while he slept. I have been looking for different things I can try to make it easier for my little guy.

I want to cry! 😢 This is exactly why I left America when my son was diagnosed with ASD level 1. The teachers don’t care! I had him in private daycare and they seemed annoyed with him. I moved to East Africa and the love and care they show my son he is learning once again - he completely shut down in USA - he already learned the local language very quickly and he tries to speak it his speech is still developing but he reads it just fine. Is doing simple math and loves maps. All because the teachers and speech therapists here care for him.he eats everything! In America he only wanted limited diet and mostly bread. America I swear so many teachers simply hate children - it’s just a job for them! Poor kids - this video put tears in my eyes! 😢

I tried a barber a few times for my son but never went well so I taught myself how to cut his hair and it's still a struggle and his dad has to hold him in the chair and we have to take a lot of breaks and he still won't let me use the buzzer on him even for touching up the edges so I have to use scissors on his whole head. Any tips would be greatly appreciated since it's such a stress on him that i only do it once a few months and wish he would get calmer as the cuts continue.❤

I completely understand. I also have a nonverbal 6 year old and it's so hard to get him to feel comfortable while getting his hair cut. It helps us when his dad holds him in the hair and comforts him the whole time and we take a lot of breaks and most times don't get to finish since using only scissors takes forever. Don't worry if it doesn't look perfect. My son's teachers completely understand and they won't judge. Trust me. They get how hard it is to cut their hair and always applaud both my son and I for trying😂😂❤❤

My son (who is autistic) use to have a horrible time at barbershops to the point where I completely stopped taking him because of how he was being treated (the barbers had no patience and would become visibly upset). Until I found the perfect barber for him, who has a home based barbershop and is SO GOOD and SO Gentle with my son❤ We never looked back. It also helps that our barbers son is autistic as well so he just gets it🥹
