As part of the European Union we comply fully with primary legislation concerning disability in particular blind or visually impaired passengers. We undertake the following actions. Provide escorted service for these passengers Inform airlines of the passengers particular requirements and through ticketing requirements Provide priority seat allocation and boarding Make sure all airlines allocate at least one cabin crew to look after these passengers needs. Blind passengers require special seat allocation according to their disability this may include reallocation of existing passengers, allocating seats near exits, toilets and galley areas to provide assistance. Where no seats are available this may mean placing them on the next available flight where particular seat arrangements are available. For passengers with their own wheel chairs the airport undertakes to liase with airlines to place the wheelchair last on and first off arrangements. It is likely that disability legislation will be updated again in 2018-2019 concerning severe disability such as visually impaired including excemption from any government taxes where seats are allocated on the internet the airlines will be able to prioritise reseating to accommadate blind/visually impaired passengers.
