The coolest show ever!! Dad and I watched every episode, I was 9 years old when it debuted. We had a great time every Friday night. Dad's gone now and so is James Garner. Two of the coolest men I knew and miss 'em both.

W.W. 2 Restorations, I was 6 years old when Rockford Files first aired. It's my favorite t.v. show. I have to watch a few episodes every week (reruns). May Dad and James RIP.

My favorite show of all. You have to sit down and study James Garner to really know how much good he did for the world, the man was truly evolved.

I was 6 years old when The Rockford Files first aired Sept 1974. It is my favorite t.v. show. The entire cast was incredible.....Jim, Rocky, Dennis, Angel and Beth. RIP James.

Great interview from a true fan. When I need to think through a problem in my life, I have driven to Paradise Cove in Malibu to "walk" the beach, figuring things out. James Garner, my favorite actor. No affect; just a genuine, nice guy like we always knew.

Best private detective TV show ever!

My absolute favorite TV show. Wish there had been 20 seasons and it hadn't been so rough on Mr. Garner's health and marriage.

I've been watching it on Peacock channel lately. Been watching it since the 80's after school. I've even watched the KZread channel that plays nothing but the score from the show. Very calming.

I grew up watching this show from when I was 8 yrs old... And I still watch it now...All these shows back then represented what was good in life and in people.. Such better times I seen. People were proper, respectful and raised kids to the best. So so sad to see what we evolved into..This show The Rockford Files touch all aspects of the American life and struggle to stay afloat while staying righteous and clean cut.. Today, it’s all gone ☹️. ...And no one cares...........

Fricken hate when interviewers interrupt the guest...never got to hear Garner's method to memorizing his dialog, because the DJ had to chime in.

Yep- we always called his J turn maneuver; doing a 'Jim Rockford'

The great escape had so many big personalities often Jim Garner had to smooth over disagreements with the director and the other actors. McQueen was a real pain the ass.
