AUTEUR REVIEW: What these super-pricey products tell us about the FUTURE OF ANTI-AGING SKINCARE

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

From 'golden collagenine' to a medically-used oxygen carrier, this skincare range from Auteur comes with a very heavy price tag and some fascinating ingredients that point to the future direction of the industry.
The goal is to become THE 'super skincare' range and they intend to do it through products that work with your skin to help it perform at its best.
I tried three core products for six weeks and I share my results and thoughts on the range in this review.

I tried the sample kit. I’m 60 and the Auteur products aged me 5 years in 4 days. My eyes were so dried, lined, with red rings that looked like chemical burn. My whole face looked so tired. I don’t get the hype and I think these KZreadrs have such a great base that they don’t notice initially. I’ve noticed that a year on from the rave reviews, there are very few influencers still using the line.

Thank you Claire once again for this review which spotlights some of the lesser known products in a saturated skincare market. Your skin looks great so I don't dispute the positive results you've achieved. However, when I looked at the ingredients in the Auteur enzyme cleanser they included such things as corn starch, tapioca starch and citric acid - probably some of the cheapest ingredients available. The serum also contains polyvinyl alcohol (also known as PVA) so I am guessing that's what provides the smoothing appearance of the skin as it's a type of subtle 'adhesive'. I also noticed that fragrance appeared quite high up the list. I wonder if this product was created to compete with the exorbitant Augustinus Bader skincare line.

  • @thehonestchannel

Thanks for this insight David. Funnily enough it's the enzyme cleanser that I particularly enjoy using. The fragrance is very subtle but it is fragranced. They are deliberately setting out to pitch themselves as a designer / aspirational brand, and I'm sure they've looked at the success of Augustinus Bader and seen the market potential.

It’s still very expensive as well but they do offer a 15%off first signup discount and a a rewards program to help counteract a little of the cost. They also have very great customer service. Much better products that Augustinus Bader. Those products to me are horrible.

This is for celebrity purse strings for sure and I couldn't justify spending that type of money even if I had a limitless credit card. Claire, can you please do a review on the following product- Depology, DEEPCARE+ SERUM-INFUSED MICRO DART PATCHES. Thank you.

I hear you! I think a lot of people will agree that it's a price stretch too far. Happy to say I have already reviewed Depology micro dart patches kzread.info/dash/bejne/emp63LKReMy_hbA.html

$300.00 for just one of their products? I would like to know if I may. How many different products do you use, and how much time do you spend applyiing all these products, also how much money would it take to use these products on a monthly basis? And wouldn't it be cheaper to get a facelift, fat transfer as dr amir karam is always taliking about when you consider how many years and the cost you will be using these products for?

This is a video covering my own routine kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZWntcevYNG9idY.html I did enjoy using the Auteur products, they're well made, but I wouldn't be able to justify the cost long term. There are a number of really great and less expensive products out there on the market.

The Adipeau is not as expensive as Auteur, but it is a pity though you've used both, so now you cannot say which one is giving the positive results

No, to be clear I used the Auteur in isolation for six weeks then I started using the Adipeau it’s just that I am continuing to use up the Auteur products on my T-zone until they run out. I am only using Adipeau on my cheeks and temples. There was no overlap of product on those areas.

Hmm, I think that might be a wee issue at your end. The video seems to be playing fine.

Hi. I don’t think it’s objective review if you are using other product that the ones to be reviewed. Not even if you didn’t stop using all kind of products and treatments for a period of time, before reviewing just the one in question ❤ Oh! It would be also great if you include review of scientifical articles of the products you are trying. Then it would be somehow more accurate ✌️

There was no overlap. I only used these products for a six-week period. Sorry if that’s not clear in the video.

I’m disappointed you are using these products during your testing of adipeau cream.

I should have made clear that I continue to use Auteur only on my t zone where I don’t use Adipeau. Adipeau is a targeted fat restoration cream so I’m only using it in selected areas. There is no overlap of product but I didn’t say that in this video so apologies for that.
