Do i have to use an autel key fob to program a car everytime...can't i buy a similar key from a dealer and use that with the km100 ....waiting for your reply.

Check the ikey manual pdf and look for your model/key fccid.

Can the programmer erase a used FOB and restore it to the original factory settings? I recently bought the tool thinking “key renewal” was exactly this scenario.

It can, but not all of them.

question; how to we find out what buttons and functionality matches keys in the list of KM100? all the numbers look the same on your demonstration video. on other cars different--BUT HOW DO WE FIND OUT CORRECT one???? (im new to key programing - please accept my lack of knowledge)

This work with transponder keys or only unverisal keys from autel?

Are the universal key reusable/resetable? If I made a universal key to work for a customers car but they ended up but the customer ends up finding the original key and doesn't want to pay for the universal I just programmed, could I reuse it again on a different car?

Hi, Sean from Autel here. That's a great question, and a real world scenario I have seen many times. If you generate the key in advance, it can be reused as long as you have not connected to the vehicle and added it to the IMMO.

He asked question I wanted know since I own tool he means also what if you already got to process of added it to immobilizer then customer finds key can ikey be unlocked from that car and be reused or does it vary between car like it usually does? For example nissan keys can be reused once its erased from Immobilizer

@@justinshelby5908 It depends on the vehicle, as the OE software governs what we can do. Luckily the Ikeys are a very competitive price point so even if the key cannot be reused, you would be out a small amount of money compared to a dealer supplied OEM key. - Sean

Can you use im508 to program ikey? Also does ikey come with a blade to cut for the vehicle

I just stole a 2024 Toyota wym it don’t work

So many cars are stolen by using this tool. Shouldn’t be able to buy it as an individual.
