Great flight, always consider the wind direction and fly against wind when doing range test so when it will return it will go with the wind and use less battery on the way back

At least you were able to get in touch with them. That is more than I have been able to do.

That was a great flight. I am glad you were able to land it safely and find her without any problems. The furthest I can get with my Mini 2 is about 1 mile and recently even less. Thanks again and fly safe!

Great and brave test. The way that battery deteriorated once it was at 40% and under was worrying and certainly not as forgiving and the Mini 2 when planning a long flight. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Wow utterly amazing and gripping video, and what an achievement too, 18569 feet max, 3.51 miles, 5.65km, at an average of 22mph, up to 351 feet high. (in standard mode), and then, nail biting stuff at the end, where sadly you had to turn back, due to the battery charge swiftly going down. I'm certain had the battery had more bumph! in it, (eventhough you were fully charged), it might have well gone to 4 miles or more. You were very brave, and it has given me more confidence with my autel evo nano plus, which I darent send out more than half a mile. I wont spoil the end of this video by saying the outcome during the recovery process, back, but lets say I have no finger nails left lol. PS: thanks for the tip too about starting recording once OFF the ground, as this 720p bug is so annoying. andy

Thanks for the video! Trying to decide between this and ponying up for the DJI Mini 3 Pro. Rather nice range

That’s why I never do Range tests 😂. I just don’t trust these batteries and tend to get nervous as soon as it’s below 45%. That said, I managed to land an Air 2 with 2% once. But I am not keen on repeating that. Good video!

Did it force land (drop down on it's own), or was that you lowering to the ground? Great range test.

My phantom 3 would sometimes lose signal from 50 feet away
