Right now the Nano+ w/premium bundle is available brand new on ebay from Autel Robotics for $565 and $665 on Amazon. About half the price as 8 or 9 months ago. It's a great drone directed at photographers rather than hobbyist drone flyers even though it flies as well as the Mini 2 now with all the FW updates. One thing I noticed right away was how much better the footage was in person right off the SD card rather than the compressed view we get on KZread.

Its way too oversharpened though.... really good lowlight and night shooting. Yeah the price really went down but I think it needs to be lower IMO. ITS not worth what they were asking at retail and IT DOESNT fly as well as the mini 2

@@Matanumi I have no idea where the myth of Nano+ being oversharp came from It simply isn't true. It's a nice clean and clear image, especially in video. I think DJI fanboys made the up to hate on the Autel brand. My Nano+ didn't fly as well as the Mini 2 right out of the box but spending 2 minutes adjusting the EXP and other control features had it flying as good as the Mini 2. It does help if the pilot operator knows how to work the remote and app.

I bought it and mine only records in 720P even with the resolution set at 4k_30fps. Tried both wifi transfer and pulling the SIM and same issue. Refuses to record in anything but 720. My obstacle avoidance also goes haywire and kicks in when I'm flying in wide open places. Not impressed and will be returning to amazon

The dynamic range in luma and colors beats a mavic 3 cine 10bit. Also, because of the Yellow more light and colors are captured to produce a higher definition and a regular RGGB sensor does. Watch the video on my last comment in a 4k television and you will see that there is no other drone that can capture that.

Straight from camera to card it's Over Saturated and greens are Neon. Worst camera I've used. Jpeg or Raw.

Great video! Nice shots of the Landing. My Nano + is due Wednesday. It’s the orange premium package with Pelican hard case for $659!

Is the Nano geofenced? All DJI drones are geofenced. This is a pain when you're trying to get a spontaneous shot.

Its not the "mavic 3 mini" it's the MINI 3 PRO. they dropped the mavic name after the first units

Great review. I was just about to pull the trigger on the Nano+ , but my only concern is the Tracking and "follow me" obstacle avoidance compared to the Mini 3 (which seems flawless). On Mini3 , heating, weaker signal and lesser camara concerns me 😟

They fit in the bag with the sticks on.

Thanks for your presentation of both of these drones! I own both. I have to agree with most of what you said. I am a bit confused about the Nano Plus being able to track though. My Nano Plus still cannot track with the newest firmware I have. In addition, my Autel Nano seems to have a lot more difficulty connecting to my Android devices and I just don't understand why. I have the Tripltek Tablet which I love but sometimes it will not connect to the Autel application even though it clearly shows the lightning bolt indicating it is trying to charge the tablet battery. So much frustration and it has me thinking that my cables are bad which I truly doubt. Any advice? Thanks!

I have been using the Tripltek with my Nano Plus and it seems a little glitchy more so than with my iPhone. But my iPhone dims out and is dangerously unreadable on a sunny day. I am getting the SkyFire Aerial mount adapters.

I also own the Evo 2 Pro along with this Nano+. I've concluded the dynamic/active track feature on the Autel drones is best left alone. Just pretend they are aren't even there. The static tracking where the drone doesn't move does appear to work fine though.

Yes, two common issues on any drone are the cable and the SD card. Swapping them out is easy enough to eliminate them as the culprit.

Did I heard that the nano allows shutter speed down to 1/15sec in video? That would greatly explain why the image is brighter. Dji is limited to 1/30 in 30fps.

Thanks for the comparison. DJI automatically fails due to imposing big brother style flight restrictions and spyware. That's the biggest reason why I returned a Mini 2 and bought a Nano+ instead.

Autel Android app is still not ready, is has problems returning in windy day. No geofencing, good night camera, oversharp videos, has sensors. Mini 3 costs 10% more than Nano+ and has more stable software. The only pain is dji broken geofencing. In EU it is not allowed to flight beyond line of sight and at night (because you do not see the drone)

@@JohnSmith-yn8pl Went with the Samsung Tab Active 3 tablet just for flying. It's wicked and I got it on sale for just under US$300. This Tablet is what All small tablets should be.

Mini 3 is more expensive right now. Autel nano plus I think was competing against the mini 2 not the mini 3 because the 3 was not out at the release of the nano. Dji had more time to release something better. I think if autel had the same time to better the software it would be just as good now they are rushing updates and having a hard time getting the software right. The sensors are realy sensitive clean them at every use.

Sadly Autel Dropped the ball HARD. They sell drones and never give what was paid for. The Nano+ never got the rest of the Software.
