The implications of this tech is scary at best but it does remind me of the LHC project, where a child throws a digital clock on the ground and finally finds all the pieces and now has to figure out how the damn thing works, IMHO, this is a backasswords way to do do real science, pandora's box comes to mind, when you screw with mother nature there is no way to put the genie back into the bottle. On the cool side of this tech the perps can swagger on their achievement because their intellectual property is immediately owned by big pharma which means the perps can still cash all their checks. Still I think in the short time I have left I will not be around to compensate the amplic, small compensation to derailed goals of the actual human race.
