I would love to see this compares to a sure beta 58 and telefunken m80/m81.
I agree about the handling noise - I was appalled at how bad it was on mine. Not great, esp considering how heavy the build quality feels.

I know imagine making a feature to improve handling noise and it has the opposite effect 😂
I was curious and purchased an OD303 and had similar observations. Nothing new or breakthrough here. The high end boost gives an illusion of more detail, but ultimately it needs to be calmed down to make the mic sound more natural and reduce "Ssss-ing" Build quality seems very good, which hopefully translates into durability. Maybe the OD505 or OD707 are the real new and exciting breakthrough microphones from Austrian Audio. Waiting for a review of those mics.
bringing down the range around 4kHz by 6dB might give it a bit more balance in the frequency range.
Do you have a favorite handheld?

Hi you will need an audio interface to plug this mic into a great budget one I can recommend is the Audient evo 4.
Is it good as a reporter ,interviewer mic ?
it sounds good, but the handling noise and plosives are a deal breaker for live use..
Think Austrian audio is made up of some x AKG guys so it should be a good quality mic
