I am in my seventies and I was born here and grew up in a small country town, and I am white. I used to get terrorised by some Aboriginal boys and beaten up, some times daily. I also have many Aboriginal mates and have so for life. I never have considered that a race of people are all to be blamed for the conduct of a few, that’s how my parents raised me. If anything the beatings that I received, actually made me tougher and taught me that you have to learn how to look after yourself, because the authorities now, will not protect you, especially now. I believe that this stuff is all part of growing up to be a better man, who knows how to protect his own family, once he gets one of his own. Bullies leave you alone, even after they have beaten you up, if you learn to fight back, they would rather pick on someone who will not fight back. This is the issue today, the authorities charge those who protect themselves, and support the bullies, so the bullies believe that they are untouchable, not in my world, I can tell you, and it is time for men to stand up and fight back, like men from our parents times.

I have experienced racism, yes I am white, but getting called a f@%&ing white c@%#t when it walk in a public area. I was beaten up as a kid because my mates gave me a racial nickname, the mob were local aboriginals where I grew up. As if I can do anything about behaviors of others, I learnt long ago that you are in control of your own behavior and no one else’s behavior. I do understand the trans generational trauma but it’s not just our indigenous peoples but also post war family migration. I grew up in a multicultural town and went to school with many troubled mates who were exposed to the traumatic behavioral responses of their parents. Living there was an eye opener. Also I saw a similar thing with refugees from Vietnam and Cambodia. I really felt for these people but as I mentioned I can’t control their behavior. We are all outside looking in at people who behave in troubled ways. She there is a lash out of blaming no good comes of it and thinking becomes illogical. We use the term reverse racism to identify that form of racism directed at people regarded as the perpetrator of historical traumas. The silly thing is that I am born in Australia and respect each person for who they are but painted with the invader colors. Any thoughts?

As a child born into a mini-microscopic sect and growing up in the stifling orthodoxy then prevalent in Bombay/India, I viewed everyone through the prism of religion and color, but gradually learnt that deeds and acts make the human, oddly its seems that our present Prime Minister Albanese seems bent on dividing us into sections by imposing a form of reverse racism into Australian society. I am also of the firm opinion that people of color, whether African or Aboriginal should not be given leniency for crimes that they commit, neither should there be any reservations or privileges be given to anyone based on race, religion, color or backgrounds unless it is purely for socio-economic reasons! One cannot expect someone who begs for a living (is on eternal welfare) to work for a living.

@@Aussie-Nan yes and im sure there is something rotten with the electoral commission . i watched the vote count tally's live on multiple sources and most of the small parties i voted for did not receive a single vote somehow. they should have because i thought i was voting for them and out of 20 million people someone else had to vote for them as well. so were did the votes go? did they go to one of the 2 major party's liberal or labor? or were they never counted?

I never jumped on the tolerance without a judgement train. I put people into two categories 1. Good 2. Bad. I treat everyone like how I would like to be treated, until such time as I am treated poorly, then I respond, and usually dish out my own revenge as I see fit. Because bad people need to be shown accountability for their actions.

50% of the population of Australia aren't even native Australians of any variety, 50% are immigrants who are either legal or illegal (boat people who were let in by the government as part of a different grift they were doing years ago) My grandfather is from africa and he said he only likes this country because the white men built it and he likes what white men do. Literally verbatim out of his mouth. He came here as a black man to work hard and make a life for himself, he married a white woman, he runs a taxi service he owns, he knows the roads like the back of his hand and he lives here 90% of the time, the other 10% is spent going home to africa to visit his mother who is over 100 years old now. Every time he comes back he turns the AC on and sighs, "It is good to be home."

The "White Australia Policy" casts a very long shadow, very much like Spain's "Franco's Fascism", very long shadows that still exist and reign supreme even to this day. There would be other countries that would experience a similar shadowing, where it lurks in it's shadows.

Absolute gutfull! If the government don't start improving the lot of the working people there will be trouble.
