Enjoyed all these videos, Dr Rizwan. I have a question though. I know that migration lawyers are most suited to answer this, but I might as well ask. If someone has 65 points (and that fulfils the basic requirements for the 189 Point-tested visa), is there any possibility that they are NOT invited to apply for a PR by the government? I know some friends who didn't get PR even though they have >70 points. But they are not doctors nor in the healthcare profession (accountants, engineers, etc), so their situation might be different.

Noted. ECFMG certified/ USMLE doctors need 2 years of US residency experience to qualify for Australian provisional registration after a job offer via competent authority pathway. Otherwise, if no US clinical experience then standard pathway via AMC 1 (at least) and then job offer and then limited registration via standard pathway. Most migrant doctors come here on temporary visas like 482 after passing AMC1 and getting a job offer and then after getting full registration with AHPRA (2-3 years), apply for permanent visas

Hi dr, if I am a Gp specialist with a job offer, after 2 years when I apply for my PR, will my spouse be able to apply for PR too if he is 45?

I want to ask you about visa 189/190. Do I just have to pass the AMC 1 test to lodge those visa? Or I have to complete both the AMC 1 and 2 test?

My brother is an engineer , with 95 points for subclass 189 PR visa. Its been more than a year he has not been invited. I am a doctor in UK , planning to come in Australia, I would barely be able to make 75 points at max. If my brother cannot receive an invitation for such a high score, my chances of getting one may be more than 3-4 years.... Or is it that being a doctors helps us get an invitation earlier, despite low points?

I have not come across an onshore doctor with full AHPRA registration being denied a permanent residency. Not sure about off shore maybe SOL is not satisfied

I always wanted to know wether i can take my parents with me when I’m working as a doctor in Australia! I have only mom with me & I can’t leave her alone here in India !
