That's not Australian, there's no such thing, you are simply mentioning the difference between formal and informal English, which by the way are exactly the same in the UK, Australians are descendents of British people therefore the language is exactly the same

You ignore that what's considered 'standard' is decided politically, not how language actually works. Languages are unequaled standard because of where they seem to originate from - but, if this pluricentric language has multiple differences in grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary or even more, what inherently makes one 'true' and the rest 'aberrant' ?

I heard mate a lot in the UK, but they use for strangers..like asking some strangers if they’re ok
I say: Barbie ("I'm chucking the barbie on for dinner") Brekkie ("Eat your brekkie") Arvo ("It's gonna be hot this arvo") Sunnies ("I lost me f***ing sunnies") Sickie ("Yeah, I'm chucking a sickie today") Maccas ("Wanna go for a maccas run?") I've heard people say mate and roo but I don't use it. No idea what a lippie or a chewy is. it's just lipstick and gum. I say skippy for a kangaroo / wallaby.
I just realised we just add “ie” to the end of the world 😂😂
